Doing my save game test on SEHS in TSW2, couldn't help noticing in the HS1 tunnel sections, with day headlight engaged on the Class 395, there was some illumination of the tunnel walls, roof and track ahead. Not much, but enough to make out fittings and structural elements, better than pitch black like it was previously.

So I have to wonder whether some experimental work has been done on the original version, either the route or train.

It’s always been like that. For you to have seen any difference there would have to have been an update and there hasn’t been.

Yes there was always a glimmer of light in that long tunnel. Let's hope there's more in TSW3.
Amazingly, there's nothing in the various articles about sound ( read noise ) in tunnels, so it might be as dark and silent as the grave down there, yet again.

Odd then. The only thing I changed was adding the Skylight Intensity Modifier to the ini file and setting the value at 1. Not sure why but perhaps that made a slight difference even though there is no “skylight” in tunnels!

Oh well then, I couldn't say, since I don't use any engine ini mods.
