a route quite close to my heart. a busy line seeing a 1 hourly service out of Nottingham and derby this route is around about 110 miles and the optional extra to Nottingham is about 15 miles and mainly is a rural line through the midlands the fast trains would only call at Long Eaton ,loughborough ,Leicester and St Pancras but the slow trains would call at kettering, wellingborough, bedford, luton, luton airport parkway and st pancras. this route would include the emr class 360, emr class 222, emr class 156 and 158 and the crosscountry class 170(operating between nottingham and derby. thank you for taking into consideration
Personally it back a few years when you had the VP 185 HSTs and meridians working together or even better set it back in the 80s when the peaks were still bombing up and down the line and Valenta HSTs being introduced along with various 1st gen DMUs. Very good suggestion even if not all of the suggested distance was done.
id quite like to see it set a few years back when it was east midlands trains but u take the 360 away with that and i think a desiro would be nice. even though i would rather have an emt ic125
Absolutely this. My last trip on the MML was, believe it or not, in a rake of Mark 2 A/C stock hauled by a Peak.
