Something that always intrigued was why JT have been able to sell Virgin-branded content for years but DTG could only get the license for a little while and when Virgin lost the West Coast franchise they forced them to remove all of their TS DLC while JT still sells the Voyager Advance with multiple Virgin liveries. The question is: clearly this is down to license agreements, so how come the relatively small third party developer got a much better agreement than DTG?
Don't forget Just Trains are part of a much bigger outfit called Just Flight, they may have more clout than you give them credit for.
It's also possible that Just Trains didn't get a license and the brand owner hasn't noticed or doesn't care.
I never understood why the Virgin stuff wasn't just de-branded instead of withdrawn completely. Does anyone know why?
I would have said they have issues with the livery, since AP had to remove the Pretendolino livery. However this doesn't appear to apply to the old red/black livery for one reason or another.
For the same reason DTG locos feature full EWS/EW&S logos & markings, while JT's are marked "FWS/FW&S"?
I know this is probably not the time or place for this joke, but.... What do you call a train that hasn't locked couplers with another train? A Virgin
