Train Sim World 3 - What You Need To Know

Noticed that we are getting the remaining Pres Crew updates with the launch of TSW3, as seen below.

So the question I want to ask is, is it possible to have a list of what's been updated with these routes? I also noticed that the Hamburg-Lübeck timetable update isn't among this list, so what's the status on that? Is it coming with the games launch, or will it come after release?

 

Despite discussing and planning the roll-out for 3 months, we’ve been informed by Sony this week that releasing all the routes within the planned and expected timeframe for PlayStation is not possible, so we’ll be operating a staggered release.
Sony will be releasing the legacy routes weekly, and from our perspective, we’ll be looking to prioritise Train Sim World 2 Core routes, content that has received a significant Preservation Crew update, and recent releases.

FFS Sony pull yer finger out. Its not one thing with Sony its something else.

So if I already own spirit of steam am I not going to get it early access for standard edition?

Of course!!! OF COURSE!!!! Jesus Christ, at least they fixed it in the Launch build....Maybe..., only brightside is there arent any reported issues on next gen consoles or pc...For now..but ill keep an open mind

So on the Q&A stream you lied about SoS owners on TSW2 getting early access if we purchased the Standard package then.

And they wonder why their customers dont believe a word they say!!!

 

Thats the only thing DTG is gonna get a pass by me on, but seriously use this time to fix as much as you can in said routes

 

You'd hope that before announcing No Issues everything will be available day one - these issues were confirmed and secured with Soy and other companies. Whilst its not in DTG hands and it is a Sony issue - I do blame DTG for saying something that wasn't guaranteed after all. Just the icing on the cake for PS after the Add-on debacle this week too. PS Does have severe Limits.

 

Honestly, if I'd known about this crap move by Sony earlier I wouldn't have preordered and just kept playing TSW2, I feel DTG have deliberately held this bombshell back until the last minute, seriously I'm done with this entire debacle.

 

Its just lie after lie which comes out of DTGs mouth

 

I imagine the dev relations team at Sony are sick to death of Dovetail releasing broken content, clogging up the store with dozens of repeated DLC for their three almost-exactly-the-same train titles, and then blaming Sony for all their shortcomings, despite clearly making no attempt to capitalise on the unique features and benefits of the Playstation system. If I was Sony, I'd insist on a staggered rollout too.

Query - Does this imply early access is not launch build? Do we get a patch or do we have to redownload again on day of release?

Calm yourself, Paul. Sony has always been a garbage game company. It has nothing to do with your misguided hatred of their imaginary wokeness and diversity. The PlayStation gaming division is not in charge of casting for the Sony Pictures division, ya goof.

 

Come on- Sony's struggles this gen are certainly not limited to DTG's releases. It's been one bizzare design choice after another from them since PS5 was revealed.

 

For anyone in the UK who feels aggreived by DTG lies over the SoS prerelease and PS now staggered release of TSW preserved content I suggest you contact your local trading standards office, as its blatent false advertising.

• Train length will be limited to 100 wagons on 9th-gen and 50 wagons on 8th-gen
• Services and layers:
• Southeastern High Speed Extended – same number of playable and AI services
• Cajon Pass – same number of playable services, with shorter formations on 8th-gen (see above)
• Kassel-Würzburg – same number of playable and AI services
• 9th-gen players will experience better graphical performance
• 9th-gen players will have better game performance (both 8th and 9th-gen we are happy with performance for though)

Great if your on 8th gen or a Xbox series S but it's not very appealing being on SeriesX , PS5 when it's the exact same experience in terms of services.

 

Hobbyhorse time again... not a word in there about current status of the save game or any estimate of when it will be available. Complete silence on the possibility of having it as a toggled option after reading a caveat emptor warning, or as a Test path for Steam users.

I can put up with not playing SoS until Tuesday as, let's face it, most of the runs are too long to do in a single session. But having decided to go ahead and buy, I want to know when I will be able to save and resume my game again.

 

I’m done with Sony and have cancelled my preorder. It’s one disappointment after another on PS5 (and not just TSW). Microsoft can have my money instead despite the lack of sales. I was already slowly transferring but this will speed it up a bit.

Bit annoyed my PS Plus just renewed :-(

Other than that, good news on the preservation updates. Still looking forward to playing despite Sony.

Confirmed yes, but surely you could've informed us months ago that there may be an issue so we could make an informed decision on pre-ordering or not.

That would have hurt their sales, and clearly they prefer to lie to their fan base until we've handed over our cash

 

Before TSW2 was launched we were told many times over that all preserved content would be available on day one. That was a broken promise. When Rush hour was launched we were told and promised that lessons had been learned and there would be no issues. That was a broken promise. Now in the run up to TSW3 we were told that all preserved content would be available on day one. For the third time running that has turned out to be a broken promise. I'm not going to pay for a game for my PS5 and sit and twiddle my thumbs for however many weeks until content I've paid for is available. This for me is a deal breaker and I won't be purchasing TSW3 until all preserved content is transferred over. I don't care if its down to Sony or because someone at DTG messed Up. I'm tired of the excuses. This is the third time. Come back to us when you've sorted it out.

Oh, I see what you mean now (I thought you were referring to the Last of Us TV show). And yes, Sony exclusive games are indeed garbage, because of their lack of diversity forcing you to play mostly white, bearded dads. But PlayStation has had their heads up their butts for years and years. They're still living in their heads like they're the gaming kings of the PS2 days, and can do whatever they want.

But I've gotten wildly off topic, so I'll shut up (and I just called you a "goof" as my way of staying civil)

 

Pretty gutted about this too, but my disappointment is tempered slightly by the fact we can't have have it all installed at once on PS5 anyway!

Just when I'd forgiven Sony and DTG for the mess that was Rush Hour DLC rollout on Playstation, we get this absolute debacle!
