In the tunnel between St Pancras and Stratford, I am constantly seeing tiny white flickering spots all over the place. It looks like an old-timey film reel. XBox Series X
So much about those things being fixed with the new lighting system automatically, sounds like the problem that has been there since the release of SEH
Never spotted it running at 4k on XSX before, but it really seems to jump out now. I jumped into TSW2 to check and don't see it with the same settings (4k, motion blur off)
It is light leaking in holes where tunnel model parts were merged together, was always there in the curved tunnels, just more noticeable between St Pancras and Stratford due to length.
Some of it seems really completely random, where it appears above the track but not in the arc around the tunnel walls, and as individual spots not lined up with the curvature of the tunnel, hence my film grain description, as it pops in in random quadrants of the screen. Where light leaks in through seams is FAR more noticeable in the new lighting system than it ever was in TSW2 for sure.
On Series S now as I am away from home, and here it seems way more pronounced as it flashes up an entire white semicircle, presumably at the tunnel's draw distance, flickering on and off as a bright light filling a sizeable chunk of the screen ahead of the train. My epilepsy is thankfully not triggered by this kind of thing but I will be uploading a video and running it through the PEAT when I get a chance.
Hi, jumping on to say that we've seen this issue during our beta before the early access so it is currently a known error. Can't confirm right now if it's making it through to the day 1 patch but it is set as a MED priority.
Another issue in tunnels is when the entire train starts emitting glowing light in a strobing effect rippling down the train. The first time it happened I was worried I was about to be abducted by aliens. The entire interior and exterior of the train as well as my character model began to glow and flash. I took a video and will throw it up on onedrive in a bit to show what I mean.
