I really like how St Pancras has been extended in TSW 3. However, a vast section of the station is bare and desolate. No people. No shops. No nothing. Just light shining through the glass. Feels eerie.
Sounds either like they never changed where passengers can wonder or left them at the javelin platforms for reasons of busyness
The main concourse? If so, I agree it's normally busy with lots of shops. Theres even a couple of pianos thrown into the mix somewhere.
They simply made those platforms accessible and didn’t put lots of other work into them. Just for scenario planner variety and to be able to walk to the TGV service(s). No need for additional assets and/or passengers there if no trains really stop at those platforms.
They might as well seal off that area then. Being able to walk to the main concourse and then finding absolutely nothing is a real shame (and a waste of time).
But in rl There's national rail platforms at the far end of the station, Even if there's no trains coming and going in the game, They've opened up that part of the station they could model it at least.
The international platforms have been made accessible for you to use but are not a core part of the experience as there are no international service trains in the game bar the TGV test trains, passengers may well not be seen over there (and doing so would likely mean much less passengers on the southeastern platforms).
