Hi all, so a quick question regarding the Class 465/9 SEW. I’ve done the training for it and all is good, but if you load on foot in training center and head for this train you cannot set it up. after doing everything covered in training it gives the message “Driver Assist Auxiliary power must be turned on before attempting to drive this train.” this was not covered in the training I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find it for the life of me. it’s not a problem and the answers probably really simple, but it’s driving me crazy! Does anyone know where the button is? thanks
Have same problem with the other trains: ICE, Javelin... each wont Auxilary power on, but How? And why is that not in the Tutorials?
Nothing happens when I close the auxiliary so line is not on, where is the control to start rectifiers?
it is possible that some placed trains are not usable? Found in ICE a button to put on aux, but all other as main switch and so on are not funtioning. In some other area of the center I found additional trains, all with active motors...
This flummoxed me for about 20 minutes earlier, so I feel your pain! To resolve, hold the "aux heat and lights on" button (in the big top panel to the left… it's labelled as such) for a generous amount of time until you see dials move in the HUD. Say 10 seconds or so. Hope this works for you.
It is odd having a ‘training’ centre full of locos that don’t function even if you do everything in the training modules, the pop up tool tip for the 465 says to use aux power but no clue how (I’m pretty sure on TSW2 you could press the aux heat button to wake up a train but that didn’t work here), the ICE3 pop up said to raise the pantograph when in reality you need to press and hold the battery button which is hidden in a cupboard. If the tool tips worked like the training modules and were accompanied by a symbol on the relevant control it would help tremendously.
This is not working, I have no power at all not just the aux heat & lights. I have found so far that one of the BR185s and one of the 66s work, none of the 365s, 375s, 395s, 465s, BR403 do anything.
agree. If they intended to use and to cold-start, why 1) it don´t work, 2) why nothing is shown what button and how long is to apply AND 3) why the hell those is not implemendet in the tutorials again? I mean, DTG should do tutorials which implements all cases not only the simplest ones to bring a train into roll (hadn´t it understand in TSW1, TSW2, and now again in TSW3). If they not intended to use (for whatever reason, catenary/tracks without power,.... then DTG, don´t put these on the tracks in the Training Center
Lol I was stuck at one point then my 9 Yr old come along and showed me how to set up all the trains, I guess he's been reading all the driver manuals.
I asked on a video of a setup tutorial (where the power was already on) how to actually get the battery and main power on but someone replied saying that is private information that only SER staff are permitted to know (hence why it was excluded from the video).
Here's the manuals https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw-help The 465 he learnt from a driver that was kind enough to explain the ins and outs a while ago at dartford. If the battery isolation switch is private info then I doubt there would be an option for it on tsw. And be set to always on.
I don't know if there is one, I'm sure DTG JD would be happy to confirm. My son says to start the 465 hold aux heat and lights on for 15 seconds. He said its a button marked with aux in the 395 to the left of you.
On the 465, I don't know about the others but there is only the auxiliary heat/light set and no main breaker set switch.
Set the master key to on, this activates all the panels, hold aux heat and lights for 15 secs and that's it.
I don't know then. I hop on the 465, sit in the drivers seat, turn on master key, hold aux for approximately 15 seconds then the 3 lights above aws, dsd and vigilance isolation illuminate indicating that the train is on. There's a couple of 465's. Have you tried the other one?
a weird question - there is a fuse / switch box at the back of 465... what do those switches do? I mean, what is the difference between the fuse being open and closed? (default setting is closed)
A open circuit is off and a closed circuit is on. If you open the line circuit then the train is effectively dead.
Right so all the locos on Foot with Training Centre are in cold start so you need to hold AUX Power for 10 seconds, then put pantographs or shoes up/down, close circuit breaker (only on some) and then this should give you power to move, most buttons you will have to hold for 10 seconds, hope this helps.
It works on all trains, with pushing the Aux button for > 10 seconds. On some trains you need to push the battery button before aux. Last step is to close the power circuit (MVCB). Thank you!
An additional note for those who, like myself, don't always read labels carefully enough and see what we expect to see rather than whats actually there. I assumed that the "aux heat & lights on" button would be the one with the cover over it. That's actually the off button and the one you want is next to it! It took me an embarrassing amount of time to spot my mistake...
The battery isolation switch is outside under the solebar of one of the intermediate vehicles. I went looking for it before finding the answer on this thread. But the battery isolator is only rendered visually in TSW - you can't interact with it.
This is the Lighting and Auxiliary set button on the wall, hold it down and eventually it kicks and screams the train into life
