Not Started | Started | Completed | Completed to Gold All my completed chapters are marked as Started. All medals are gold. Is this OK? When does the status change to Completed | Completed to Gold?
I had something similar - I think it's where progress from TWS2 has been carried over, but you only get the "Completed to Gold" if you complete them in TSW3.
I was quite surprised to see some of my SEHS Journeys shown with a gold medal, i.e. complete as I didn’t think it carried across. Also when I opened up the various chapters all the stages appear to be there and pickable which is contrary (in a good way) to earlier reports you had to complete in sequence to unlock the next element. Guess we’ll know for sure on Tuesday when our TSW2 routes come over.
Sounds a bit shoddy, that. If the services in each chapter already have gold medals next to them, how are you supposed to track which ones you've got gold in which program? Surely if every service has a gold medal, it should move straight to "Completed to Gold", otherwise what's the point of transferring the progress?!
You shouldn't need to get gold in a particular version - if it's gold, it's gold. I'll raise a ticket and get it looked at.
Ah, okay - I had two chapters in which all the services had gold medals, but only two in each chapter (the ones I had completed in TSW3) were ticked. When I re-ran the non-ticked services in TSW3, they switched to ticked and I got the gold medal on the chapter screen.
yes you need to get gold in all to get a gold for the chapter On SKW theres one training run (LZB) which doesnt award a medal, not finished that journey yet to see if it will turn gold or not, if not I'll be raising a ticket.
I noticed something else TrainSim-Matt - it looks like if you have completed a scenario that's also featured in a journey chapter, the medal will be there but it does not have a tick (and therefore you need to re-do it as part of the journey mode to get it to trigger chapter completion). Hope that helps!
That's always been the case. The Journey service has a specific set of time/weather parameters so you need to complete it through that mode to get the Journey tick. If you do it from timetable mode, it won't be a match for the Journey service.
For reference, this is what I mean - you can see the Scenarios have medals, but not completion ticks - and as noted above, the scenarios and training modules have fixed conditions so shouldn't need to be completed a second time (but as also pointed out above, timetable services would need to).
OK. All the Journey parts have to be done via the Journey menu for the status to be displayed properly. In my case, the train's introductions were completed and started from another sub-menu. The completion markers (on the left), are what I missed. Thx for your answers. BR o7 PS So exactly like it was in TSW 2
Ok so it sounds like it's a non-issue, but a continuation of longstanding "why did they do this" from TSW2? I agree btw, and will aim to get it improved - but for now I just want to make sure that if you complete all steps via the journey UI, it DOES mark it correctly? Matt.
Ah okay, I didn't realise this was designed this way. But yes, if you do the service via the Journey UI it WILL complete and mark it correctly. It was the "doing the same thing again" that I thought/assumed was a bug
I think there's also some query as to whether the Journey progress carried over from TSW2 is correctly marking the chapters as "Completed to gold" when they should be - or that's how I understood it from the early posts.
