If i purchased DLC routes throught a STEAM version of TSW2 and now I am using the PC XBOX App to play TSW3 (not an actual xbox) still on my PC using the same dovetail account will I get my DLC from TSW2 ... if that makes any sense ???
No, I don't think it will work like that. Steam and XBox (PC) are 2 different ecosystems. They do not cross over.
Bugger that's a little unfair as the platform should be the PC not STEAM or XBOXAPP, your probably right as I am still waiting for the DLC and I am sure should have happened by now
It's the same as if you bought something from Epic games store and expected your purchased DLC to work with Steam. There is no cross platform licencing that entitles players to import DLC from another store.
Even if i buy DLC from inside the game through the dovetail store, surely that's from dovetail direct and if using the same account you would like to think that would be ok ?
The link to the store you see in the game will take you to whatever store you currently purchased the game from. If playing using the XBox app, it will take you to the XBox store. If playing on Steam, it will take you to the Steam store.
The thing is, the content is not delivered by DTG, it is delivered either by Valve (Steam) or Microsoft (Xbox App), and neither of those companies will provide that kind of service if they didn't receive cut of the initial purchase... There is not much DTG can do with it.
