Hi everyone, I would like to propose to you the Elizabeth Line. This suggestion is also a tribute to Queen Elisabeth II who sadly left us but peacefully (Rest in peace) The Elizabeth line (formerly Crossrail) is a typical RER line in London, commissioned on May 24, 2022. Crossing the British capital from west to east through a new specific railway tunnel, then splitting into several branches at each end of its central section, the line is comparable to the RER A in the Ile-de-France region. To the west, the line runs to Reading and Heathrow Airport stations; while to the east it heads to Abbey Wood and Shenfield. For this route I propose to have the line from Reading to Shenfield. And to put the playable trains of the Heathrow Terminal 4 and 5 branches as well as the Abbey Wood branch on the Hayes and Harlington section up to Whitechapel to have a fairly regular frequency for this part of the line Class 345:
Maybe we could at least get the western segment from Paddington to Reading as part of an updated and modernised GWE.
Bring it on and for the core section it's ETCS Level 1-2 overlaid on CBTC. Remember to align with Platform Screen Doors otherwise not going to open.
Ah yes, I had forgotten the name. And indeed there are the platform doors in the underground stations which we will ask for a sacred precision when stopping in the station. Which would be a good challenge in my opinion.
I think many of us will like it as a tribute and as a pleasure with a lot of challenge for this line with the screen doors so some details at the station stop
Totally agree. A chance and a real pleasure to be able to obtain this line with class 345 rolling stock
I have been asking for this route for about 2 years so this would be a great time to build it at the time of her majesty's death. But I would like them to add the class 315 and 720 for the Eastern leg and I think that they should build the class 345 and use it as and add on for GWR while they build it and then you can get 50% of the actual route. But I would love this route for TSW3 as it is my local line.
I actually thought for a moment about the class 315. But yes it would be a good time to hope to have this line. I've been waiting for it for a while too
Today is a sad day for the UK, its hard to say goodbye but its easier to say "we will meet again" Quoted by Queen Elizabeth II
They aren't going to make a route because someone died. They'll make routes in demand. And I doubt DTG will want to do something like the Elizabeth Line in the short period of time that it remains a relevant "tribute" for, especially when they have to make ETCS, all of the surrounding stuff, Platform Doors, as well as either the modernised GWML to Reading or the line out east to Abbey Wood or Shenfield. It's time, again, to see something - modern - that isn't London or SE.
Ok then if not DTG gets it right since Cross Rail uses ETCS overlaid on CBTC and the Heathrow branch if BAA allows DTG to take measurements there
I'm not asking for the Elizabeth Line at all right now, it's not urgent. But a nice tribute from a game that comes from England would be like a tribute in his memory
Ok, the only grounds for making this route are the passing of QE2. Unless this releases as a 2022 update for GWE, as the interesting section of the line (Abbey Wood/Stratford-Paddington) is fully automatic and would prove difficult for Dovetail due to the inclusion of platform screen doors. We need some rapid transit, yes, but not if it is fully ATO!
Getting headlights to work should not be an issue, smaller games can do that. But still DTG struggle sometimes.
Would love too see the Elizabeth line make an appearance in train sim world. I love the sleek look of the class 345 which is also shared by its sister classes: The class 710, 720 and 701 (all of which I’d love too see in game at some point). It would be a great way to honour her amazing service to our country and would really make us brits proud.
