The pop in on Series S is really bad. UK routes are the worst offender as even the fences close to you on the platforms pop in very close to you when you walk. As UK routes are mostly made out of tracks next to fences it's constantly noticeable And then I'm just talking about the fences, trees ain't much better. Sure there will be some excuse why TSW3 is way more complex than all the other games out there and the Series S is not powerful but why do all other games on Series S look way better and run way more smoother? How can a train simulator be more complex than let's say a race game? A train is just movement from point A to B on a fixed path. The only thing that is unpredictable to the game is the speed of the players train. It ain't that complex.
Static wagons also pop in at very close range on Series S, and not just while driving but even when using the external camera, which is very slow on console. I'll be "flying" around a yard using the free camera and wagons are constantly blipping in and out, it's a bit off-putting. Noted on both SEHS and Cajon.
Sehs has the most amazing grass that m pops up under your nose too. I can’t help but wonder whether the game can render fast enough
Same for me on the Series X Freight cars on the external camera pop in on the adjacent track as you "follow" your train back to the cab.
Same on PS5. Tree limbs and fences popping in, shadows filling in right in front of the loco. I love this series and am super happy with my TSW3 purchase, but this is the one area I really wish they'd pay attention to.
Same on PC. Its strange because gwe was the worst for the tracks popping in for years. Then the preservation crew did their thing and it was fixed. I'm starting to wonder if the preservation crew are working in a totally different studio to the rest of dtg. And it seems the higher the display resolution the worse it gets.
