I recently discovered that the clouds on the old routes are still the same from TSW2. There are no new 3D Clouds on these routes. Is this correct?

Yes, only new routes from TSW3 will have the new skies and lighting.

    They only have dynamic weather.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have dynamic weather without the upgraded skybox and lighting.

They are all separate things. You don't need one for the other.

Weather is still damn good though

Unfortunately for me the PS5 crashed as I opened the doors on the 314 at Glasgow central. No idea why to be honest. I will run the scenario again later today and see if it was just a one off.

It's correct. I guess the new TSW3 lighting is coordinated with the volumetric clouds. It wouldn't actually be too much effort to apply them to former TSW2 routes, but it would probably look unrealistic. They would certainly be too darkly illuminated due to the weaker lighting. That's also the reason why SOS and SEHS got a completely new light setting...

Of course you're correct, in software terms.

But, actually, I'm looking out of my window right now at a thunderstorm with heavy rain and the sky and the lighting go right along with it.
