I have noticed on most routes that pedestrians on platforms take no notice whatsoever of the 'stand behind the yellow line' rule. They are far too close to the edge of the platform when trains are speeding through stations.

Didn't nobody notice this irritation when developing this game? It certainly does not make for a true 'immersive' experience.

Dovetai needs to get this highly annoying pedestrian behaviour sorted!

Yes, happens quite often when racing into station stops on Bakerloo, especially, for some reason, at Queen's Park.

Passengers on TSW do not behave like normal humans, for the most part. :D

Why payin attention to this? If they make a fix that prevent them to cross it, how they get in the trains ? Lol

You make the boundaries of their movement situational. If a train is stopped, they can move beyond the lines, otherwise they cannot.
It would prevent the disturbing scenes of them falling onto the tracks in front of you too.

On routes like GWE, other than stations where trains are booked to call on the main line platforms passengers shouldn't be present at all. These platforms are now fenced off with a gate for emergency access, as a suicide prevention measure.

You say it doesn't make for an immersive experience. Having seen hundreds of people do exactly that many many times all over the world I'd say it's very realistic.

I had this happening last weekend: a man walks towards the border and just as I speed past at 160 kph he seems to jump down on the track. By the time I had the external camera pointed in the right direction I couldn't see him anymore. That 's a bit too high on the reality scale in my opinion.

Indeed... Considering there are probably real (or retired) railway people playing this game, everything possible should be done to inhibit the AI passengers acting in this way.

  9. One jumped off a bridge infront of my train the other day!
