Right now the new timetable for Hamburg-Lübeck utilizes the ICE3/ BR406 for the added ICE services on the route. Considering that the ICE3 doesn’t actually run between Hamburg and Lübeck irl (especially not the ICE3M that is used here) and that the ICE3M from SKA has no fitting PIS for this route, I would love to see the ICE3 on Hamburg-Lübeck being switched for the much more fitting ICE1. To my knowledge the ICE1 does actually run on this route and generally is much more present in Hamburg than the ICE3.

On that note I also want to mention some timetable discrepancies between Kassel-Würzburg and Hamburg-Lübeck where a change of rolling stock would be appreciated. There are services which are present on both timetables which are not playable with the same type of ICE trains. For example:
    • ICE 585 (Lübeck to Munich) is playable on Hamburg-Lübeck with the ICE3M. On Kassel-Würzburg ICE 585 is also playable but only with the ICE3.
    • ICE 584 (Munich to Lübeck) is playable on Kassel Würzburg as an ICE1 whilst on Hamburg Lübeck the same service utilizes an ICE3.
It would be nice to see just one type of rolling stock being used for what should be the same train.

You are absolutely correct and what needs to happen is that TSW3 Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Kassel Würzburg must give ICE1 to Hamburg Lübeck while Riesa-Dresden Dresden Chemnitz Tharandter Rampe allows 363

I still don’t know why dovetail rinse the ice 3m (br406) when the normal ice 3 (br403) is more common on most of these routes that we have. Like HBL, DRA (not really but it would be more common than a ice 3m), HRR and RRO

I can answer the Question and the Answer is simple. Everyone owns the ICE3M. The Timetables were all designed for TSW2 and in TSW2 everyone owns Cologne-Aachen and thus the ICE3M.

    Riesa-Dresden doesn't use an ICE3M DB BR406 it uses a DB BR411 ICE-T seen in this video.

To fix Riesa-Dresden ICE a stand-alone route with ICE-T or pack it as part of Rush Hour Train Pack BML Class 700 Acela Boston & ICE-T Dresden.
Everyone has Koln Aachen from TSW2 that is why ICE3M runs to Lubeck Hbf instead of ICE1 which everyone has from SFS Hannover Wurzburg.
