Today I suggest a route extension of Ruhr Sieg Nord that completes the line to Siegen, and also adds the Iserlohn branch, along with other enhancements.

The new section to Siegen is pretty self explanatory as trains that originally terminated at Finnentrop would continue on (it would also be nice to have it merged with RRO but that would take a lot of time and that’s for a separate project). However I had trouble finding research on what runs on the Iserlohn branch, so If anyone knows what could be a good fit for the line please let me know.

I also think the timetable should be redone. There should be more ai services, especially at Hagen. The 422 and 612 would be ai trains that would stop at Hagen. There are probably more trains that also stop there but I’m not entirely sure. There can also be more substitution and layers for playable services. I also think the 363 deserves more timetables as it only has a small amount. The G6 should also layer on and could possibly substitute some 363 services.

I think the price should be between 20-25$ depending on how many new trains we get. I do believe it would be nice to get something new with it.

Overall I think the full route would be great to drive and having a new timetable would be nice. Though this would probably have to be done before the 232 gets added to avoid having to scrap the 232s timetable as well.

Excellent Idea and furthermore open up a portion to the Northwest which is Hagen Vorhalle Classification Yard that way 363 and G6 owners can use them to switch freight cars. Key difference of Hagen Vorhale vs Cumberland is that Hagen Vorhalle has a working Hump Yard and dispatcher Switches unlike Cumberland Manual switch for Hump

At least it would give us the same mileage as the TSC route, which given its @2007 Kuju RS heritage is looking very long in the tooth these days.

how about an extension to Cologne, connecting RRO with RSN and HKW (Hauptstrecken Köln-Wuppertal)

That could be a good extension for the future if the idea sells well

That has been proposed here as Rhein Wupperbahn and also build the Hagen Vorhalle Branch towards Bochum Langendreer to link RSN with HRR towards Bochum and Dortmund S-bahn Dortmund Witten Wetter. You can see this on my signature basically that's the missing piece of the Ruhr network.

That would be a great addition. However the route would be massive and complicated to merge. But with extremely long routes like Kassel - Wurzburg and Cajon Pass it could be a possibility in the near future

I’ve done some more research and it seems that Iserlohn services are served by Abellio Stadler Flirt 3 car sets. Only issue is I’m not sure if they still do as I think the contract ended in 2019 unless it was renewed. If so it would be a good train to add as they also do more of the line and they shouldn’t be hard to do as they can go off of Rivets model. I’m not sure what happened to the single carriage 143 services and if they run or not anymore. As for the non electrified line, it uses dmu’s (none of which are in the game as of writing this) from Dortmund. So it would be better to have those as a layer when we get those trains.

The two dmu’s in question are the DB br 633 and DB br 648

Abellio NRW went bankrupt earlier this year and therefore those trains belong to Deutsche Bahn as DB Baureihe 1429 427 & 429. Of these DB BR1429 can run on HRR S3 Oberhausen to Hattingen Mitte Article is here.

It would be a great idea because I always wondered why they didn't due the whole line in the first place since it was only 64 miles.

I’ve done some more research and it seems that there are some ICE and IC services that pass through Hagen that can be ai services. If the route was merged with RRO they can become driveable. There are also some other ai regional services that pass through, and the s Bahn ones mentioned previously. As for Siegen, there isn’t much that’s in game, but Talent 2s go to it that can be ai services

Is that the one that comes with steam locomotive and DB Baureihe 189? If so DB Baureihe 189 needs C-Akv couplers to run with Falnqqs 130 towards the Power station Werdohl Elverlingsen and Faals Falrrs towards the Steel Mill to drop Iron Ore Then turn around northbound back to Hagen.

I also figured out that there are IC services from Finnentrop to Siegen for shorter services

It turns out that both the ICE 1 and 3 (403) pass through Hagen. The ICE 2, 4, and T also pass through so those could be good future layers. As for that IC service from Siegen, it goes the rest of the line to Letmathe but doesn’t stop there, so it would be a better ai service past Finnentrop
