Now I'm thoroughly enjoying TSW3 and for the most part the menu is pretty decent. But then you get these issues with the HST and class 66. There is nothing to indicate which is which. Is there any way to modify it so it's one EWS 66 and DBS 66 and just have the one HST option?
The hst one is different formation lengths. Same with some other locos but again, they don't specify how long it is. Other ones are well like the 66, dostos, geeps, sd402s, etc that don't specify which is which. It would be nice to have one version but due to each dlc being it's own game and how the code was written, each route needs their own version of the train in order for it to function
You would think that this would be simple to resolve with the inclusion of the initials of the route the versions are native to, or the consist length, in the name like a mod does for PC users. DTG seem to think otherwise and are sticking with the guessing game they have always forced us to play. New players and old left scratching their heads, as is so often the case.
It's really baffling. I realize DTG have to do much more testing than a modder, but this one seems like super low-hanging fruit- a quick and easy tweak that has huge QoL benefits. Let's make it happen, DTG!
