    WCML-Avanti West Coast|Glasgow Central - Carlisle
    The Trains:
Class 156 (ScotRail) (Saltire Livery) (2022)
Class 390 (Avanti West Coast) (2022)

    Class 66 (Freightliner)/(EWS)
    Services:
Glasgow Central to Carlisle (Avanti West Coast)
    Glasgow Central to Kilmarnock (ScotRail)
    Glasgow Central to Carlisle (ScotRail)
    Kilmarnock to Carlisle (ScotRail)
Carlisle to Glasgow Central (Avanti West Coast)
    Carlisle to Kilmarnock (ScotRail)
    Carlisle to Glasgow Central (ScotRail)
    Carlisle to Shields Junction (Freight)

    Why?
The Carlisle to Glasgow section of the WCML is a brilliant part of it because it goes right through the border between England and Scotland and it would be the first route that goes through the border. It would also allow for another Scottish route whilst still having some English Countryside in it. It would allow us to Have a Class 156 for liveries and scenarios and the Pendilino would be an amazing train for the game and an iconic high speed train throughout the UK. It also combines the Glasgow Southwestern Railway with the WCML. I would really enjoy this route and I hope if it gets made you all enjoy it too. Thank you for reading this thread.

Avanti West Coast Voyager Class 221

Now I’m already sold due to it being 1) a modern British route and 2) it having OHLE but my question to you is, would you want the special Pendolino “Progress” livery to be included?

So does that mean there is an ECML route coming as well then?

It's not a sign. It's simply adding life to the Bakerloo as part of the new timetable. Same way the new SEHS has AI traffic and Static Stock next to HS1.

And by your logic we are also to expect ECML South? And Ashford - Canterbury? And the Medway Valley Line? And West Coastway?

Regarding the suggestion, would this not be two routes, which just start and end at the same place, as when I was at Carlisle waiting for my TPE train over the border all the scotrail trains went via Dumfries and all the Avanti trains went on the WCML. Do shoot my down if I am wrong but are you suggesting that these two separate routes should be done as one dlc. If so I think that's just unrealistic and you should focus on just one. Personally I would prefer the option of the WCML and have the Avanti 390s and TPE 397s and a DRS 66 for freight with potential dlc of voyagers and DRS 88s. I know you have suggested it to be in modern times but the thought of having the loco hauled electric expresses of the BR days would make me want to buy it even more though.
My knowledge of Scottish railways isn't great especially on the west side so like I say let me know if anything I have said is wrong.

Yes, your right. But I thought it would be more enjoyable if there were also commuter services as well and it would also add more services. I just thought people would be more likely to buy it

Yes, that would be included but it would be very few services it would be included in. So it's more of a rarity. A bit like the Trainbow livery for the Class 395

Where would the freight services go between for the 66?

Class 86 and 87 DLC with Mark 2 aircon and Mark 3 hauled stock (but please include a restaurant car) would be popular with us old fuddy duddies too who want to relive the 70's and early 80's!

This should have been chosen to Represent the UK WCML North Glasgow central Carlisle citadel 100 mi 160 km. On Train simulator classic there's a Class 70 DLC for the route. Sleeper Train duty Class 92 Mail Train Class 325. Want to go High Speed 1970s-1980s Style the APT Class 370

Ah right I see where you are coming from but that would be a lot of mileage and if you did just the WC route you could have a mix of express passenger, commuter passenger and freight operations.
To be honest like I said my knowledge on Scottish rails especially on the West side isn't great and I only know there is freight as I spent a weekend in Scotland (just) in the summer and my hotel overlooked the WCML and I remember there being a lot of intermodal traffic hauled by DRS 66s and 88s. In the game they would all start/end at Carlisle but can't think of they they would go to/from though for some reason Mossend sticks in my brain. I am sure someone will be able to correct me or elaborate more on this though.

I included the (2022) bit because it's because it would be the refurbished interiors for both trains and have their liverys how they are irl

It would also have GSMR working in the train and P.I.S would be customizable via typing in a number or selecting one via the arrows.

Thinking of it if there was a voyager DLc there could be a scenario called ethier
    “Unknown voyage”
    “The lone voyager”
    Or “voyage south west”
Where you would take a class 221 along the G&SW from Carlisle to Glasgow via Dumfries

They could use this route IF there was WCML diverts they would start at mauchline where the ACL and GSW are joined there could also be use for a Class 70 that sometimes used the GSW instead of the ACL idk why though ACL meaning Ayrshire Coast Line:)

Ok, but it would need somewhere on this route to start and stop before it goes Out of Bounds

Thanks for your response, I agree the scenery is really nice and like the Class 156 as well but I haven't posted this on Rivet Games yet. You might be thinking of a different thread. On Rivet Games I am called “Nathan”.

I think this is a good and fairly basic Scottish route and it would work well in tandem with eachother. The Class 156 is a nice and fairly old train these days mainly operated by ScotRail. It was built in 1989 and has been in service since. It consists of two cars each having a single sliding door and the end of each car. These trains are DMU's and Super Sprinters and are very loud when accelerating. The horn is simmelar to the Class 150 and The Door sounds are same as the 166. The gaurd buzzer is the same as the HST's buzzer
