Now, this might seem like quite the large network of routes, but in actually this route is less than 60 miles long. The main portion of the traffic would be from Exeter St David's to Totnes, with the GWR Local services provided by Class 43's & 158's, with GWR IET's and Cross Country Voyagers handling express work. The majority of the services down to Paignton are operated by Class 150's and 165/6's, although for the purpose of this route it would be 166's only. The heritage railways are the most interesting area for what runs on them, but more on that later

    Included Rolling Stock
    • Class 165/166 in GWR Green livery[IMG]
These units are often found working the local trains down to Paignton, as well as occasionally venturing up to Barnstaple. 2 car variants would be included so that they could also be layered into a potential new timetable for Great Western Express.
    • Class 43 'Castle' in GWR Green livery[IMG]
Formed of 4 coaches, the GWR Castle Sets can be found operating services between Cardiff & Penzance. 2 of the sets are stabled overnight at Exeter St David's to form early morning services to Penzance & Cardiff respectively.
    • Class 800 'IET' in GWR Green livery[IMG]
The first new train included with the route (yay), the IET's operate all the GWR express services from Paddington to Paignton, Plymouth, Newquay & Penzance. Comes in both 5 and 9 car flavours.

    Preserved Railways Fleet
    • BR Class 33 in Civil Engineers livery (South Devon Railway)[IMG]
This Class 33 arrived at the SDR in January 2005 looking rather worse for wear, but is now a regular runner on the railway.
    • GWR Class 5101 Class in BR Green livery (SDR & Dartmouth)[IMG]
Whilst both of these railways do have a member of this class at their railway, neither of them are operational. Whilst the South Devon Railway could easily operate it's timetable with one of this or the Class 33, the Dartmouth Steam Railway could make use of the Spirit of Steam 8F & Jubilee Class locos, with all of the TSW Classic Diesel locos and the Class 101 also being able to cover, based on what the user owns.

As you say very scenic route and very good suggestion.
If they make the slide door mk3s for the castle sets surely (providing they get a license) they can repaint them and the power cars into cross country livery and give us those few added services.

Also I know the suggestion is in current era and would be happy for it to come like that but I can't help but imagine the sight and sound of the 45s, 50s and valenta HSTs speeding along that wonderful coastline with something like a 118 on the locals.

You’ve missed one obvious and frequent rolling stock user of the line - The Class 150!

This will of course have to be changed and upgraded from Rivet’s current 150.

Bring it on since It's a TSC route that needs to be made for TSW 3.
Another way of getting them here is that GWML Paddington to Reading layers these trains to Riviera Line. Alternatively HST Castle set can be made from GWE HST by shortening them

The doors will have modified to be like the sliding doors they now use.

Find that Helpful and is there a way to tell them apart from the existing In-game version? Otherwise, DTG will do it the cheap way shorten them then keep the existing doors and make a castle set from the existing version

A return of the HST class 43 in TSW 3 would be nice.
The sounds that Armstrong powerhouse has done in Train Simulator with the Enhancement Pack are unimaginable. Could they also transfer it like with the Class 377 electrostar.

Another cool option, workmen who wave when you pres on the horn on that train. a AI train that horn in certain cases with signs or something, In the older simulator there were.

    Really great Line
Should this ever come to TSW 3; some novelties that were not included in TS classic.
In bad weather a rough sea with serious precipitation against the train, wind blowing against it,
Workers who are repairing or moving certain things after bad weather, dynamic weather would fit in well.
Shouldn't be a special train the class 66 with a crane or something is enough. Making more sense that this can be a challenging railway in certain circumstances. Super dirty trains with dirt on them including sand. Windows that are vaporized in humid weather before the engine has to be started.

There are already some new ones that bring more life to the game.

New version seems much shorter than the standard.
