In Cajon Pass twice now I have come into a rain storm and lost traction going up grade. The train eventually looses all forward motion regardless of throttle and starts to slide backwards. Applying the brakes will eventually stop and hold it, but then I can't seem to get moving again. All it does is roll backwards upon releasing the brakes. No amount of throttle or sand will help. So, I end up quitting to main menu and blowing my progress. Yes, BCom is engaged. Any procedures or advice here to get going again?
Perhaps you need more momentum. Maybe you should apply sand before you slip instead of after - this may help apply more throttle uphill. Or maybe the new "lifting wheel thingy" has an issue with it, but I find that unlikely.
It's 50/50 going up the grades in the rain, I tend to stay out of notches 7 and 8 but still been caught out. Sometimes I've just sat and waited for the rain to stop.
That is hilarious - and I find it amazing that you can just do that in TSW3. That is another solution though - sit and wait for the rain to stop(!) Amazing!
Fair enough mate! Although they would have no choice except to quit game if they exceed 12 hours of gameplay(!)
