Dear all, I've bought TSW2 and TSW2020, my main goal was all routes in TSW2. It can't work ? Only the DLC from TSW are available in TSW2 ? Thank you and best regards,
Everything from tsw2020 (except nec ny, switcher and the gp40) is in tsw2 and tsw3 since it's been ported over. Tsw3 has both tsw2 and tsw2020 content. Now when tsw3 came out, you can only buy from the tsw3 store page. Only the tsw compatible dlc will work in tsw2 and tsw3. So basically tsw2020 is removed, tsw2 also got removed and tsw3 is where you buy everything if you want routes for tsw2 which are labeled as such which you get for free in tsw3 and future tsw3 content that are labeled as tsw3. Tsw3 content will not be in tsw2
Reminds me of the chorus of an old Harry Belafonte song: "Well, it was clear as mud, but it cover 'de ground and 'de confusion make my head go 'round . . ."
Well yes I'm not sure the website of Dovetail was clear enough. I think I did buy TSW2020 "for nothing". On the other hand, when I'll go from TSW2 to TSW3, I'll have routes from TSW2, all of them, transfered to TSW3, not only the DLC, all of them !
And I am ok with all of that except that NEC / CSX was not carried over to TSW3. That's the only route I really enjoyed and played regularly in TSW2020 :-(
I just looked on the steam page of some TSW2 DLCs and it is brilliant from DTG because it seems that all reviews have been reset. So you can not see fast if a dlc of TSW 2 received a good or a bad review
If you own tsw, you can click on the dlc you've downloaded page and click on it and it takes you to the store page even though tsw2 is not for sale anymore The mixed ones that I know of in tsw2 are hbl, cane creek, sherman Hill, rivet stuff, diesel legends, new journeys expansion, m3, 155, rapid transit, lirr, rsn, rro, msb, 182, 52, mp36, peninsula corridor, Boston sprinter, sehs, clinchfield. 187 having mostly negative. A lot of the stuff had positive reviews but after the port which broke a lot of stuff, the reviews got worse. And don't just go off the reviews cuz if you really like something, you should consider getting it
