I'm not complaining, I'd much rather pay $4 per loco then $7, especially when the only thing of worth is the 423 IMO. But it's rather odd that this and the TSW3 three pack have different pricing structures considering how similar in concept they are.
I noticed it, and yes it's ridiculous, and even a tad funny, but everyone else can see the post just like I did, no reason to further highlight it. At the end of the day it's only two pennies, and nobody cares about two pennies, you can barely buy one penny for two pennies these days. People get uptight when you complain about bigger problems around here, I ain't risking my 'hind dying on the penny hill. Now the entire dollar difference the price is in the US is a bit more ridiculous. Look, I know the dollar isn't worth as much as it used to be, but this is a bit ridiculous.
Actually its more the point that you to the uninitiated it appears you are getting 4 DLC for just over the price of 3 including 1 special one which you cant buy separately. We all know you arent getting anything of the sort and indeed just buying a bundle for the same price as if you brought them one a week/month... Shady IMO
They relisted all the TSW2 DLCs, so there's no DLC exclusive to the bundle from what I can tell. Otherwise yeah, that's actually a good point you bring up, didn't think of it that way. Hey, I'm one dollar closer than the guy who set the pricing for these packs, so that's something!
I care about two pennies, especially at the minute. Also if I were to take that 2p coin to Skeggy and put it in the 2p machine I could win a lot more 2p coins!
Actually, I'm really happy DTG relisted TSW2 DLC under the TSW2 title for existing TSW2 owners. It's good to see them listening to their customers. (I doubt it was me specifically, but I did complain about how we couldn't buy the old content under the old title, seeing as how performance on older routes is presently better in 2 than in 3.) I went ahead and bought the MP15 so that I'd have a complete Peninsula Corridor timetable.
Nobody's complaining about that here, it's that their pricing scheme they've went with is incredibly bizarre. There's no good reason to charge more for the bundle than the standalone versions combined.
Oh, I totally understand that, and I completely agree. It is quite odd. I'm just both surprised and happy that I can once again obtain new TSW2 DLC for TSW2. I never would have known about that if it weren't for this thread!
Buying the new "TSW Compatible" DLC would also give you a TSW2 licence, so there is no change there. I'm glad that DTG relisted the TSW2 DLC because they have built up a review history. By hiding the TSW2 pages and relisting them with the new "TSW Compatible" branding, they were also effectively resetting the reviews of each DLC. That is a bit shady. Cheers
Thing is though that's not obvious for existing TSW2 owners who aren't actively trying to keep up with what's going on. To those people it basically looks like DTG made a new game and took all the content with them. Hardly reasonable to just assume that buying a TSW3 DLC is gonna give you the TSW2 key, very few, if any games act that way. Keeping the content available for TSW2 just makes sense for those remaining players, it's less confusing. Sure it doesn't change that they're available, but it makes it does make it a lot more apparent they are, and that is a meaningful change.
