Lumo are a Farley new operator based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They operate quick and reliable services between London and Edinburgh. They say that they aren’t trying to rival flying short distances on planes - but simply providing a much greener alternative - taking nearly the same time - when you include getting through an airports many procedures. They run a brand new fleet of Hitachi’s fully electric class 803’s - which make quick work of the long journey between south Scotland and Southeast England - completing its journey in just 4 and a half hours.

    The Lumo route -

    Leaving kings cross:

They travel north on the East coast mainline - arriving shortly after departure at:

    Stevenage:
They continue along the east coast mainline: bypassing York on a special cut pass not used by many other passenger train operators. They will continue North - until arriving at:

    Newcastle Upon Tyne:
Here after they will continue north - passing Whitley bay before arriving soon into:

    Morpeth:
After this they will head northwest slightly - following the Sam route as the LNER Azuma’s. They will then arrive into:

    Edinburgh
    Where they complete their journey.

This route is beautiful and scenic - as I say using a special bypass track at York station - and cutting across the stunning North-English/Scottish scenery. It would be a fantastic addition to tsw3 - and certainly one I would enjoy driving.

By the way I would 100% prefer an LNER Azuma route - this post was just to introduce the idea.

Like the idea but it would only be a small section. Maybe Edinburgh Waverly to Newcastle?

I have to agree, it's too long for TSW3 at the moment, is there a specific part of the ECML you'd like to see e.g. Edinburgh-Newcastle or King's Cross-Peterborough Budgieboy2525?

Probably Newcastle to Edinburgh. It’s the most scenic part of the route and it’d be great to finally see Waverley featured in game.

ECML would be nice in TSW but give it to me in a more interesting time period with LNER A4s or Class 55 Deltics :)

The sound of Deltics and Valentas is one of the most glorious noises ever!
