erm yes they have. Also a sale is a privilege not a right they dont need to do any sale there is no rule that they must.
There is currently a custom "175 years of Swiss railways" sale (the Swiss Deluxe edition of TSC isn't discounted because it launched less than 28 days before start of the sale). There will likely be also discounts during 4 major seasonal sales on Steam. You can read about rules for Steam sales there: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/discounts You can read about changes to seasonal Steam sales there (about changes from Lunar New Year being a major sale to making the Spring Sale major, with dates provided): https://store.steampowered.com/news/group/4145017/view/3282583269823858400
Friday 28 to Mon 31st October there is a SALE on a 3DZug - If you are not in to European Railways ignore this. https://www.3dzug.de/ HALLOWEEN SALE 33% Code: HALLOWEEN22
A good way for newbies to get into TSC. Humble bundle are doing 3 TSC bundles with either 19 items, 10 items or 6 items. All for charity. https://www.humblebundle.com/games/...rce=Humble+Bundle+Newsletter&utm_medium=email
Technically not a sale but more of a bundle. Humble Bundle are doing a TS Classic bundle where you pay as much as you want. Choose from 6, 10 or the full 19 item bundles. Perfect for newcomers to the game. https://www.humblebundle.com/games/train-simulator-all-aboard-bundle?utm_campaign=trainsimoct22_ann
Thanks for the heads up! I have quite a few of the items in the bundle but was waiting to get the turbostar after getting the AP enhancement for it in the last sale 88p seems alright!
I just want to make sure with everyone, is Humble Bundle a legitimate, safe site? I don't mean to sound like a complete idiot, I just have issues with anxiety and I am quite paranoid about it. I have already bought things from it, so too late anyways but I just want confirmation that it's an all good site. Thanks in advance everyone.
Humble Bundle is legit and safe. I've bought a lot of previous editions of Train Simulator from them just to get older or discontinued/amended routes.
Humble Bundle is 100% safe, I've used it many times in the past. So you're fine with buying from there!
Caledonia works sale: **HARVEST SALE** 30% off loco DLC 15% off wagon DLC Use https://caledoniaworks.com/ Sale ends November 1st & does not include add-on packs or GWR Wagon Pack 1
I have been doing Monthly since 2018 (got American Truck Sim from one) and Choice since that started. Very cheap for a bunch of games, and I can possibly give some away once I start streaming.
Really underwhelming selection in this year's Bundle, though. Couple of very good routes, couple of very bad routes, some traction from Railworks days. Probably worth it for Chatham, the Adelante and Semmering though, if you don't have those.
I'm not sure of the context of your comment but to demonstrate my charitable nature, here is a free TSC key for you or another forum member. Happy Simming! https://www.humblebundle.com/gift?key=kVAYH8dtDSv4CvcV
amazing how someone is so quick to take you up on your kind enough yet not so quick to come and say thank you to you directly for dropping a link to the sim that they have used. Guess manners is short on some people.
Sale Now On! The Just Trains & Singles Day Sale is now on! Find great discounts on various Train Simulator Classic routes including ones from Just Trains. See all the deals here: https://bit.ly/TSC-Just-Trains-and-Singles-Day-Sale The sale ends on 14th Nov!
I just bought the S Bahn and the U Bahn (which aren't in your link but they are also on sale) as historically they haven't been any cheaper than 30% off (OK the S Bahn has been 35% but that was nearly two years ago and it was once even 40% in April 2019 but never since). I've also decided I want the U3's acceleration/braking values on all my traction from now on, that was fun to drive.
Strongly recommend the Frankfurt U-bahn route at that price, it really gives a change of pace and provides something you don't see much of in TSC.
This link seems to work better https://store.steampowered.com/search/?specials=1&publisher=Dovetail+Games+-+Trains
Some nice discounts, but unfortunately not enough of one for me to give them a try, especially when looking at the mixed reviews of most of the things on sale.
The Chinese routes seem the only mixed status, and you do know what you're getting with them. Hit button, sit and watch the scenery, slow down (or let the train do it for you) and open the doors. Sichuan Pass is quite nicely done, the only one I'd really recommend unless you love high speed trains. Frankfurt ones are both very good, though.
I want to try the Chinese high speed routes eventually but not for £11. I don't think I've bought a TS DLC for more than £10 for quite a while now actually.
My only advice there is to stay well away from the maglev route, it might be worth three quid at best.
Tohoku is also mixed, but that seems to be because there were bugs at launch that have now been fixed.
There are also two regular chinese routes (not high speed). I have Chngkun railway which is a great route (and rolling stock is great too). Longhai railway is the other one and it is on sale. The developer is the same so I think it may be pretty good too. Both can be used with HXD3D locomotive from Just trains (I don't know if this is prototypical in Chinese railways) which is an almost perfect add-on.
What are the chances of Dovetail running a catalog wide sale on Steam between now and Christmas like they did for the Steam Summer 2022 sale? I'm still new to TSC and haven't seen an annual cycle of sales yet. Is there a pattern to their catalog wide sales, or do they appear randomly? Thanks!
Kodiakjac. the next steam sales are November Black Friday, Christmas sale and Lunar New Year at the end of January. Dates have not been confirmed yet but you can see the approximate dates here https://prepareyourwallet.com/ This site is also useful, but not every steam sale includes items from TSC. https://steamdb.info/sales/history/
Upcoming Seasonal Sale Dates Autumn Sale: Nov 22nd to Nov 29th Winter Sale: Dec 22nd to Jan 5th Spring Sale: March 16th to 23rd These dates have been pretty much confirmed from Steamworks Development News Hub. Due to changes in the Steam sales, at the end of January instead of Lunar New Year Sale, there will be Steam Base Builder Fest between Jan 23 & 30, but there might be again Festival of Rail at that time, too.
I've noticed there hasn't been as much discount recently in the latest sales as they used to offer in the past.
As mentioned on the previous page and elsewhere in this forum, it's been down since August. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/dovetail-store-down-for-extended-maintenance.57631/
