Ive noticed that passenger behaviours are very unrealistic in the game, when a train comes into the platform half of the passengers dont even get on the train and when you close the doors they start to move towards the train as if they were going to get on. This really takes away the immersion and doesnt give the feeling that your actually transporting passengers. As a result to this id like to see all the passengers actually get on the train to make it feel like your doing something another thing that id like to see is passenger behaviours. if a train is running late then the passengers will start to behave in a inpatiant manor. for example, keep on checking there watches or looking up at the destination boards or passing up and down the platform. One final thing id like to see is very occasionaly you see the odd trainspotter here or there standing on platforms and bridges. with the rush hour routes they added people in high vis jackets randomy
That for me is something I would really like to see as you see many spotters next to the track in real life especially when there are railtours on (such as in SEHS). Another thing is that it would be nice to see people walking over footbridges or waiting at foot crossings just to add that extra immersion and make me feel like I am driving my train.
I agree. It's so annoying arriving at a station full of passengers only for them to not enter the train. DTG said they fixed that issue when rush hour came out but they clearly have not and in tsw3 the passenger behavior has just not changed
The behaviour is not good indeed. But imo they look lot better then in TSW2 so thats an step forward to realism. Hopefully we *ever* will see that passenger get in the train and find a seat without despawing...
Something which also popped into my head today is that in TSW passengers seem to walk along the edge of the platform which although I know it's only game but it really does make me react in the way I would in real life if someone was standing that close to to the edge.
There have been many times over the past few months where I arrive into a platform full of passengers and none of them start to move until I'm closing the doors. Of course this doesn't apply to NTP where there has been some form of apocalypse and there are no people....seriously why are the trains and larger stations so empty now.
Yea, they need more behaviours. For example. In SEHS Extended at my first stop in the timetable all the passengers get off and hardly any get on so I'm left with what was a busy service which is now a very empty one
I find it odd on London Commuter when on any Brighton runs from London they all get off at Gatwick Airport and the rest of the journey is made with an empty train.
This one is easily explained... none of the passengers want to end up in Brighton and I don't blame them for it either!
I know it has only just started but that has made my day! I am laughing my rear end off! You are clearly someone I would get on with like a house on fire mate!
The passenger behaviour is odd indeed but one thing I picked up on was taking over an incoming train and the driver just disappearing from their seat. How much would it have taken to insert a small cut scene where the driver gets out of the cab and gives you a cursory nod/hello etc?
Sadly harder then you think Its the same with passengers that just despawn when they get in the train. Somehow UE4 doesn't let it work correctly, having an NYC and a moving things getting combined... Hopefully one day they'll find a solution though
