Hello everyone. As a Bulgarian myself i have always wanted my country or some around to be featured. It might seem obscure because its a lesser known region but as you know the railways are kind of decrepate but not everywhere so it will be a nice way to go back in time while in the modern era. I'm curious to hear your suggestions of a route in that region. Any type of route works: tram, subway, freight only or whatever else. Countries included are: Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo?(depends), Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Greece, European part of Turkey, Hungary and slovakia, Czech republic, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Moldova and Ukraine (no Russia for obvious resons). I think its time we stop with only the "base" countries.
Slovenia is in the game Karawanken Bahn. For RSSLO they can do Dobova-Ljubljana route that way SZ541 gets a scenario on the Tauernbahn where it runs 04:15 trip
Thanks for your idea driverwoods I have bought Karawakenbahn for that specific reason, and your idea is great.
The reason why I mentioned Dobova it's because of the SZ541 OBB Baureihe 1216 rare 1293 is able to run there and run the sleeper train from a Croatian HZ 1161/1061 Zagreb Dobova. Dobova-Ljubljana-Jessenice-Villach-Schwartzach-Innsbruck-Buchs Canton St Gallen Tauern Karawanken & Arlbergbahn services 541 1216 1293 for the Zagreb Zurich train. The trip report on that train Cab view of the Dobova area For a Bulgarian route, BDZ runs DR Baureihe 104-106 DR V60 and 07 which is the DR Baureihe 132 DB BR232.
Well it's time for a Bulgarian route. I think Septemvri-Plovdiv is a good idea. the route is pretty short 50-60km but it's sort of high-speed. this line is part of the trans european corridor number 4 and 10. Honestly it won't be a bad idea to also exist in TSW3. Stations 1) Septemvri train station this station connects with the infamous bulgarian narrow gauge line. Maybe in the future i will explain it. it's served by intercity, regional, and local trains. 2) Kovachevo This small station outside of Septemvri is served by local and regional trains. 3) Zvanichevo Another small one served by regional and local trains. 4) Mokrishte Another small station outside of Pazardzhik served by local and regional trains. 5) Pazardzhik The main station in the middle. It's far away from the centre and it's served by express, regional and local trains. 6) Sinitovo A small village station served by local and regional trains. 7) Ognyanovo Another small station but with a factory and mine served by freight trains. served by local trains and regional trains. 8) Hazghievo Small station outside of the village. Local and regional trains. 9) Stamboliyski A medium sized station halfway between Plovdiv and Pazardzik. It has a big rail yard and a branch to the line to Peshtera. 10) Kadievo A village. Local and regional. 11) Todor Kableshkov A small station with the PIMK railways freight terminal and a freight yard. A place to load and drop off freight. Regional and Local 12) Proslav A small station right before Plovdiv. Regional and Local. 13) Plovdiv Central The biggest station on the route and the second biggest city in Bulgaria. Served by Local, Regional and Express. Freigth trains can aslo be seen there nad it has a depot. I plan on updating in the future with more info and own pictures eventually. Hopefully agree with the route, could extend it to Vakarel.
This is not a DB V60 its the East German DR V60 DR Baureihe 104-106. When Germany was divided from 1945-1990 DR is the German State Railway Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR (German Democratic Republic)
I hope DTG or RSSLO create some routes in Slovenia, Croatia or Bosnia but I'm not holding my breath for it..
yea same. We need to continue going more and more into the balkans and stop with the based countries.
I think that this is an excellent suggestion. As a Bulgarian myself I'd also love to see my country featured in any way. I'd suggest a short part of the Sofia-Varna line, specifically the Varna-Shumen section. I often get to travel on this stretch and the views are amazing, especially between Provadia and Shumen, where the track slithers around hilly terrain. I would love to be able to drive our rolling stock, which I often compare to the German one while I'm playing the game. Specifically the BDZ Class 46, which I believe is mostly used for hauling Intercity passenger service wagons (feels free to correct me, as my knowledge of Bulgarian trains is limited) BDZ class 44, 45, 43 (this is a picture of a recently refurbished loco) Credit BDZ The Class 31 Siemens Desiro units, which I believe are our equivalent to the regional trains. Credit: Ivo Radev the BDZ 007 which I've mostly seen carrying freight wagons, even though it's used on a sleeper service in this picture. Class 32 Electric Multiple Unit, mostly used for Regional services. Credit: Markku Salo. Class 52 from East Germany. This is used for shunting. Credit: Markku Salo The route would include the following stations: Varna Main Station -This would be the biggest station on the route and the freight hub. It has a massive railyard that goes along the bay. It's in close proximity to the Port of Varna. The station sees a lot of Intercity, Regional, and KPV (КПВ) Which stands for "suburban passenger train" (or something like that haha) and it's the First or Last stop of the said services. It's a terminus station.; Varna Spirka -This is a station where a lot of Regional and KPV trains stop. There is also one Intercity train per day; Topolite -A small village station that sees the same amount of trains as Varna Spirka; Ezerovo -This station sees the same amount of trains as Topolite; Strashimirovo; -The last small village station before Beloslav that sees the same trains as Ezerovo; Beloslav -A larger station that sees a lot more "Fast Trains" per day than Topolite, Ezerovo, and Strashimirovo. It has a high amount of Regional and KPV trains as well. It has a small rail yard Povelianovo -Another larger station that sees "Fast Trains", the difference is that this is a bigger station than Beloslav. It's very close to the Varna West Port and it has a direct connection to Devnya, which has a giant cement factory. I think that also adding Devnya would be great because it would give an opportunity for more freight scenarios. It sees the same amount of trains as Beloslav; Razdelna -This is a small village station that doesn't see Intercity trains but has a relatively big rail yard. It only sees Regional trains Trastikovo -This station is right before the Sindel "razpredelitelna" Sindel Razpredelitelna -Sindel is a refurbished station and sees a lot of Intercity as well as Regional trains with a big rail yard for freight trains. From what I've seen this is the most well-kept station on the line. It sees a lot of Intercity and Regional trains; We've now exited the "Stations with railyards" and are on a 2 in a row extremely small and terribly served stations on the line. These next 2 stations are right before the town of Provadya Tsarevtsi -One of the smallest stations on the line. It sees less than 10 regional trains per day and barely has a platform; Zhitnitsa -A station similar to Tsarevtsi that sees less than 10 regional trains per day.; Solna mina (Salt mine) -We are now entering Provadya. This is a small station nearby a salt factory and 2 cultural landmarks. This station does not see any Intercity trains. Dobrina -A small station right before the Provadya Central Station. Weirdly enough this station sees more Intercity than Regional trains. The station has the same name as the Village of Dobrina which is very close to the town. Somehow this station belongs to the village, but it's not actually in the village but in the middle of the town of Provadya itself. Provadia -A relatively big station for the area that sees a lot of Intercity and Regional trains. I think that this would be the 3rd biggest station on the Route. This is the middle part of the Stretch between Shumen and Varna, and where the stunning part of the track begins. Venchan -A small village station, nothing special Ravna -A small village station serving a nearby village and a tourist attraction called "Probitia Kamuk" Nevsha -A small village station. This is the last station that is located in the Varna Province. Kaspichan -We've now entered the Shumen Province. Kaspichan is a relatively big station right before Shumen. The station itself is located exactly on the eastern end of the town and has a rail yard. It sees a lot of Intercity and Regional trains. I think this is a train from Shumen to Kaspichan. Kalugeritsa -A small village station right after Kaspichan. It only sees regional and KPV trains. Madara -This seems to be the main station of the town, but it's mostly overlooked by the "Spirka Madara". The station is not even located within the city borders and sees only one Intercity train per day. It is of course also served by the KPVs and the Regional trains. Spirka Madara -Spirka Madara is right in the middle of the town. I am not sure but sources suggest that it was opened in 2013. This is the last station before we enter the city of Shumen Trakia Shumen -This is a small stop in one of the town's industrial hubs. Sadly it's terribly maintained and commonly regarded as the worst station in the area. It only sees regional and KPV trains. Shumen Central Station -This is the 2nd biggest station on the route. It sees multiple Intercity, Regional, and 4 KPV trains per day. The station has a large Railyard That's about it. I'd love to see this implemented into the game. There is also the possibility to extend it to Targovishte.
Great idea! I would also appreaciate it being featured with Bulmarket included an the BR Class 87s which we already have.
Hi, I see that you are looking for some balkan routes. I am from Croatia and 7 years ago I created a route Nova Gradiška-Nova Kapela-Oriovac with a branch line Nova Kapela-Požega. This route is located in eastern Croatia and it took me almost two years to build only tracks and stations with some scenery around, but I never finished it because there is no objects to fit with it. There is no croatian signals for TS, no catenary, no station buildings and no rolling stock, there is some Croatian and Serbian locomotives created by RS Vlado but they have no animated cab controls. In Croatia there is only like 10-20 people that is using Train Simulator Classic and I think we will never see a balkan routes for TSC because there is a very little interest in it, thats why I gave up on building balkan routes, now I build only fictional British, German and American routes.
