I'm having a fun time exploring the stations and nearby but when I need to catch a train to elsewhere, I have no clue when it is coming and how often. Could we have some kind of static even time table with some info on when the trains could be spotted and where and what time and how often. This feature could be included in the pause menu next to the settings button
Even if its a "rushed job" what the devs can do temporarly is slap on wall posters on the stations (and make them readable) which outlines this information. It's just one of thoes essential things because then I can plan a bit more how far to walk around b4 the train comes in. Just something to think about if possible and hopefully make it a reality in the next month or so the latest
Matt made timetables for Rapid Transit and Great Western Express. It's already a base for what could be placed at the station's info boards.
Great idea! Just a printed timetable on a wall somewhere (in prototypical design for the route, please!) would be very helpful!
Non PC users should bear in mind that some of the services may not exist for performance reasons when using these timetables.
Displays would be nice, but are too complex at the moment (see also my post in this thread). Wall posters on each station would be a nice addition though. I was playing GWE yesterday, and after arriving at Maidenhead I had no idea when I could expect the next train to call at that station. Posters (and maybe a working clock + "look at timetables" on the CIS screens) would be a nice addition which would not break immersion.
Wish this was available for TS as well. Love the idea Would love to see on the boards arrving trains.
Trains don't run on timetable's in TS, they run when and wherever the scenario creator places them. Due to the way TS works, a train could sit at a station for the whole scenario whereas it was supposed to terminate at a station not on the route (hence why portals were made).
