Hi all. I’m close to possibly getting an Xbox X. I currently play on an Xbox S. Looking at YouTube videos with series X it looks a close comparison to PC versions. Am I right in thinking this?

According to TrainSim-Matt, Xbox Series X runs one notch down from PCs highest settings.

I know that the series s doesn't have the distant field shadows cuz of memory limitations (recently confirmed by matt) that all other platforms have. You know the new shadows we got in the past.

Series X has the advantage of using a disk version of Train Sim World

IMO if you have the option, play on a good PC. FPS fluctuates pretty bad on the new TSW3 routes for about 70 to 80% of the route length leaving you with an unsmooth jerky background scenery which is very unsatisfying. On the other hand you do get a buttery smooth 60FPS on about 20% of your journey (Xbox Series X apparently the most powerful console).

TSW on Series X is much better than Series S. Keep 60 fps most of time. Except too dense scenaries.

I guess the scenery is "too dense" most of the time as I've yet to see 60 fps on Series X "most of the time".
