… the same in Carmillon STIF livery, I couldn’t be as detailed as possible because of the 300 layers limits:
Newest creation on the Xbox this time and a different account to the PS 5 acct. there should be lettering under the Wascosa Nameplate and the Wascosa Brand name as well But that would be more than 300 layers. So I thought it best to leave both parts out. As it was I think my total layer count was about 265. You can download her from the link below https://creatorsclub.dovetailgames.com/mods/58798 Regards Hentis
Sehr schönes repaint von wascosa wolte ich auch machen da waren sie etwas schneller als ich nicht schlimm
You win the smartest man alive award….. it’s on all consoles what kind of rock have you been living under?
I made this reskin a month or two ago and it now has 153 and counting subscribers on Creator's Club, it's 66523 in Freightliner green livery with blood splatter on the front from a 'bird strike', it took 1 and a half to two hours to make, it was hard work And the loco IRL at the time...

But it can act differently on Xbox opposed to PlayStation. And I know it's on almost all consoles apart from the Nintendo Switch.
Been meaning to post some of my liveries for a while but held off. But currently I am having issues uploading at the moment so I though I’d use that time to show some current liveries I have recently posted on creators club as fictional liveries. For these first I have placed TSLP108 3265 “Time Run” . TSLP 111 “The Beast” and TSLP110 BNSF 791 “Grey Ghost”. I have over 164 locomotives and been doing this for some time with no mods a standard PS4 so I thought I’d share some of this work and how it’s been all put together. Thank you TSLP.
Hello I can help if you like. I do a lot of UP liveries so give us shout and I’ll help the best I can. This is my recent work based on Union Pacific revised livery which make this a fictional livery due to work I’ve done. Ie Name and change of colour on nose etc. It may give you some pointers but I’d do all your rails first and then start with working under them by having you decals under the ones you have placed for the rails. I’d have the loco and letters done not numbers within 40 or so decals. That leaves roughly 260 to add more. Depending on full numbers and letter done by hand or the standard decal numbers. If you do a flag it takes around 70 including the 50 stars. So I’m always hitting 300 mark. But I always try a get more out.
Well done! I also like the weathering effect that makes the whole thing look more realistic. Imitating real models all the time is a bit monotonous in the long run, so imaginative creations like a beast with a mouth provide some variety.
Us humans are a weird bunch….. I’m the total opposite of you as handrails are one of the last things I do before weathering and are done at the finishing touches time of a repaint.
I agree we can be at times this why I started to question every decal placement and agreement especially when designing my own as every decal counts. And yes I agree with you by doing the weathering last as it always has been the case. Fine touch ups etc but the reason for doing my hand rails first is over doing the base work first then the hand rails. I come to the letters and other planned work after the rail because A, it gives me a set number of decals I can work with after doing the base livery and rails. I know what I can work with and not be left short,,hence I now know that most US units will take on average 35 to 40 decals. It’s done I don’t have to worry only about what I have to do if say it’s a moral and want a certain look or it won’t work in its appearance. B, it can help in saving decals by building in the base and rails work depending on different designs. C, It helps by knowing where you in you decal list as you move around the unit. But in saying all this I suppose there is no one right way of doing it but I personally feel a certain way in the planning stage is always helpful because like I say leave certain things out when working within a tight decal limit can be disastrous.
I’m just looking for some advice on the colour of this BNSF livery as I have just recently received a new tv and my eyes don’t trust it as I’m getting use to setting my colour and as this is my first BNSF Heritage livery I don’t have one in my pallet with non being done. So if anyone can give me some feedback that would be great. I was also toying around with the idea of calling it “War Pumpkin” as it’s currently known amongst rails fans as “Frankenbonnet”. The Idea for the name “War Pumpkin” which I thing sounds quite fitting, came after watching Hyce an interesting channel on YouTube and great for gaining background knowledge on old steam and diesel electric units and what goes on around some workshops. So I could say this one is for you Hyce. The original livery is on C44-9w but chose to use the ES44c4 with being the most up to date for use with the weathering etc on TSW3. I just hope I can start to upload my liveries again. Fingers crossed.
Well after a day or two I bring you BNSF 4729 as I have finally been able to unload again today thankfully. So it should be up on creators club with the TSLP128 code. I think I managed to get the colours right tho. I have uploaded some pictures of it with the dirty shade on top and without so you can see the difference in colours and I’ve also include the codes needed for the orange in case anybody is wanting to do a BNSF livery but can’t get the colours right. Hope you’ll agree this is okay because it can be hard getting the colours right if you do them by eye like I do. There is one or two things missing but again I’ve had to balance the look out the best I can with the limit being a contributing factor in as to why.
OK so here's one that I've yet to seen on Creator's Club. Class 101 in Valley Lines livery. This livery was originally used on Class 142 and Class 143 units in South Wales whilst under the ownership of Cardiff Railway Company. Growing up in Cardiff during the 90s and early 00s this livery was a familiar sight in the South Wales valleys. While the unit type is not accurate, I feel I've done pretty well recreating the overall design of the livery.
The early ACe's and M-2's had a non isolated cab and most of the railroads that bought the early ones had the headlight at the top. At some point EMD/Progress Rail made the cabs isolated which seemed to help the sound inside the cab. So, in other words the non isolated cabs got the nickname "thundercabs" because of the noise inside the cab of the locomotive.
Here is one of my latest liveries for Halloween. No 3 “The Witch” With this livery I was in two minds on what theme to use as I was split between bright and colourful with all the little bats and pumpkins on, you know the usual kind of Halloween theme. But instead I was more towards a darker theme with something like fantasy folk lore but still try and retain a working type of livery. Again the number of decals is always a challenge but I guess that’s the appeal really seeing what can be created with minimal decals. For example I wasn’t to happy with the sides looking a little plain but with most of my liveries it’s mostly in small detail so that can’t be helped. Hence why I try and do liveries as a show locomotive more art based then say a Union Pacific livery which is a functional livery designed around certain parameters for use in everyday operations. So like I always say it’s trying to find that balance between the two,,because I like to combine Art based and Functionality. So I’ve placed a few pictures up showing the planning stages through to completion and see if anyone has any suggestions that even my self may be over looking as design point of view for future projects. Because I do these liveries for myself and for the TSW3 users so I would like to know if what I’m trying to provide is what users want and like,,and I can only do that with feed back from you guys. Id rather spend 20 hours or so on something people want than just fill spaces with something that take hours or even days to just have 10 subscribers because it can at times get very disheartening so end up asking myself what is the point?. But on the flip side of that,,Fictional liveries may not always work and that’s what I choose to do,,,and I guess that is my prerogative so I can’t really go complaining. So if I do carry on making fictional or non fictional liveries I’d do rather do something users want and not waste time on things I think people may want. So again please let me know what you think and any feed back will be great appreciated. Thank you.
Not sure if this the right place to post this but has anyone tried the livery editor with the new F7? I started making a CN version, but found some issue. First is you can still see the original design. Is this supposed to happen? Also nothing below the bodywork can be painted. That doesn't seem right at all. Is this just me?
Well that's not good, try posting this in technical issues. Or as a separate post. This problem will get buried in this thread. There are other problems also on certain other locos, like handrails not paintable on SD40-2, undercarriages not paintable on certain locos, number boards not paintable on the Clinchfield F7, &c &c. Bring it up as a stand alone isue or response to the new release Add-On.
Thought I'd finally introduce myself on here. I'm the guy that makes all of your North American virtual railroads in TSW2 look like a graffiti littered eyesore. While I'm typically a guy that makes Automotive themed art in addition to sign painting, I have felt like I've been in a bit of an artistic slump as of lately... That was until discovering that TSW2 had a livery editor that was very similar to the one in the Forza motorsport series. Additionally, getting a new job in an industrial area adjacent to a busy rail yard provided a great deal of artistic inspiration that naturally trickled its way into my designs. As the trains rolled by, the graffiti pasted to the sides of the rail cars really turned the creative wheels in my head. And while the beauty/ugliness of graffiti is completely in the eye of the beholder, my main goal behind making these was mostly for my own sanity in the real world, but also to make the locomotives and rolling stock in the virtual world feel a lot less sterile and perfect. Anyway, thanks for downloading my creations, it really means a lot to me!
...as someone who meanwhile also has a lot to do with the Livery Designer, welcome to the DTG forum community. I think the forum is the most important link between players and developers. Even if there is a bit of grumbling here, there are also many interesting threads that reflect very helpful as well as creative things. Some see graffiti as art and some as vandalism. But in the end it also enriches otherwise monotonous looking trains. It looks at first sight easy, but with the existing decals, it's not so easy to recreate it in such a way that it looks vers convincing in the end. So a big compliment for your liveries, they look really realistic!
Welcome aboard! I am one of those graffiti haters that considers them eyesores and vandalism in real life but, I love your Soup Line car!!! Still laughing. I gotta go download it now and add it to the 5 others of yours I have subscribed to... mostly your Canadian stuff. Nice work btw. Also IRL I do have an appreciation for graffiti style "artworks" (not the tags and junky stuff eyesore stuff) that some folks have done. Some of these folks should be showing in galleries not wasting their time on rail cars, but each to their own. I always thought that *IF* I owned an actual railway I wouldn't waste time on repainting older cars, I would hire graffiti artists to do them for me in their visions but including the proper railway markings and names in the painting so they still comply to regulations. Some graffiti artists are respectful this way but the taggers are just making a damn mess, and that's why I have no love for them. If you are interested, I also manage a FB page called Railcar Art where I post images of graffiti art I have found and others have found and shared from the real world. However it excludes tags specifically and only deals with artworks and cartoons. Some of these people are extremely talented and their works very well done either as proper art or as cartoon art. The variety and subject matter is fascinating indeed. If your interested, look it up but, for some reason I cannot for the life of me find the share info, so here's a graphic of what you're looking for.....
Some More Canadian bacon for all of ya. Today I decided to create both a weathered CN and a CP shunter for all of you to enjoy. I had a lot of fun weathering the Zebra Stripes on the CN unit. It always amazed me how unbelievably wretched they looked when they started to fade. You'd think the things were painted with cake icing haha. But in any case, I feel like I did the realism of the design a fair amount of justice. Also, please excuse the weird black lines on these designs TSW 3's custom liveries have been confirmed by dovetail to have weird texture issues. hopefully you can enjoy these to their fullest once they fix that
And speaking of texture issues.... I took advantage of them to create this Ghost Locomotive that proudly displays the messed up textures as age & deterioration marks. Then I took it for a rip in the game in the fog.... how fitting ;-) It is available in CC if anyone wants to run it.
Work in progress Class 387 in West Midlands livery. If I buy the Birmingham Cross City Line, I'll probably make a scenario or two for it.
