There are quite a few options for regular stopping passenger services. Do you have a particular favourite at the moment, that we can suggest similar options to? Which country do you most enjoy driving?

I'd say my favourites for passenger operations are:

UK - Southeastern High Speed, London Commuter, East Coastway, Cathcart Circle
US - LIRR / Harlem, Peninsula Corridor
DE - Nahverkehr Dresden, Rhein-Ruhr Osten

I've also just picked up Rivet's Island Line 2022 in the current PSN sale (Only £8.24 if you're a PSN Plus member) which is short, but quite enjoyable for a quick blast if you don't have much time to spare.

    Brighton Mainline
    .
With plenty of branch lines and a very busy timetable Brighton Mainline is sure to keep you entertained from London Victoria to Reigate, Gatwick Airport and Brighton.

    Cathcart Circle
Drive the Class 314 in and out of Glasgow Central Station. A spectacular station with a stunning view over the river Clyde on approach into the station. Drive between Glasgow Central, Cathcart, Newton and Neilston on the Cathcart Circle. The only route so far on TSW set in Scotland.

    Southeastern High Speed Extended

This wonderful route gives you views of spectacular hills and cities. Drive the Class 395, Class 375 or Class 465 between Ashford International, London St Pancras International, Faversham, Rochester, Gillingham and Dartford. Or if your looking for freight then drive the Class 66 from between Strood and Stratford International

    Class 484 Island Line 2022
Are you in the mood to be a gaurd for a change? Then this is the route for you! Operate the Doors using the gaurds pannel as you drive past the stunning isle of wight coast. Or drive from coast to coast in the Class 484 from Ryde Pier Head, Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin. Or do some stock move at the depot at Ryde St John's Road

    West Cornwall Local

Drive along the Coast into the mainland from Penzance to St Erth. Or Continue along the coast from St Erth to St Ives. Drive the Class 150 Sprinter with it's iconic DMU engine sounds around Cornwall stopping for passengers and delivering freight across Cornwall.

    thanks
    Wish you all the best
I like the passenger mode of the UK 465 class
I don't like high speed and long distance railways

If you want something different from the usual push to go/stop stuff, try the classic diesel loco's and DMU's on North Transpennine (NTP) and Tees Valley Line (TVL).

In that case, you'd probably enjoy Cathcart Circle, Island Line 2022 and West Cornwall Local which are pretty compact passenger routes, as well as the longer, more modern London Commuter and East Coastway routes. There are currently some savings to be had on the Rivet routes (IL22 and WCL) if you're on PlayStation.

NTP and TVL offer something a bit different, but the older trains aren't as straightforward to operate and take more effort to drive consistently.

I am going to agree with Vern that Northern Trans-Pennine and Tees Valley Line are real gems with very interesting locos and I spend most of my time on these routes when playing the game.

Good choices. The 313 add-on for East Coastway is good to have too.

They are of you like the classics. But if your a modern emu fan, like me then you'll want to get something like Brighton Mainline or East Coastway

NTP and TVL I've watched Youtube and
driving maneuvers may not be easy, might buy it later
EMU is a lot like the Taipei MRT so I love it

Have you got Northern Trans-Pennine? If not I would highly recommended the getting the route and heavy freight pack as it's a brilliant route and if you have Northern Trans-Pennine and the heavy freight pack they will layer onto West Cornwall and give some more interesting services.

If you have the right console. It doesn't work on Xbox 1's or Xbox 1 S's

Good choice. You can also be a gaurd on Cathcart Circle. It's just like the class 323.
West Cornwall Local is good. The sound are a bit off but if you haven't been on the train IRL, you won't notice and it will seem like an enjoyable route.
London Victoria to Brighton is amazing. Busy timetable with lots of trains and services with a branch line to Reigate. There's always something to do in that route. Let me know your thoughts and feedback

Huh. Well none of my layers work apart from NTP layering onto other routes. Any tips to fix it. I don't even get 465 layers onto BML even though I own it. Am I doing something wrong?

BML layers is an easy one, BML layers only appear on next gen and PC, for the Heavy Freight Pack, are you sure you have it installed, check timetable mode and you should see the 08 BLU, 40 BLU in addition to the 45 BLU, 47/4 BLU and 101 BLG, if they aren't appearing, I'd send a support ticket to Dovetail to see if they know what's wrong ;)

I don't have the heavy freight pack. Also, should the 150 be layering onto NTP because if it should then I'm not getting that etheir

Sadly the 150 doesn't layer onto NTP I'm afraid :(, although you can make a scenario for it in the Scenario Planner

You need heavy freight pack and NTP to enable the WCL layers.

Okay, I'd seen screenshots of it so I assumed it did. I still feel like there is layers I'm missing out on. Any idea what I might be missing (other than London Commuter)?

Why can't the speed increase much at level 150?
    Slow down when going uphill
often do not arrive on time
    Did i do something wrong?

Are you talking about the class 150? Well it's not really a powerful locomotive for going to steep hills. It's slow to accelerate. Your train will slow down but not stop.

I reckon you'd like the new Birmingham Cross City route too - maybe stick that on your wishlist once you've had time to play that lot!

andrew#9323, cross city line is fun. Think you'd like it. Maybe take a look on youtube and see what you think?
