Tsg Db G6: Broken Backlights In Train Sim World 3

Anyone else noticed the broken Backlights on the DB G6 Locomotive in Train Sim World 3? I tried on three different Routes (RRO, DCZ and Testcenter) and on all Routes, the Backlight isn't lit up correctly. You can only see the red light turning on, but the actual Texture of the Lights aren't turning red. I am not using any mods, its a clean TSW3 install.



I submitted a Ticket a month ago and didn't get any response, so i would like to know if this Bug only occurs on my System?

 

Basically, the lights are working, technically seen. They are on and at night (or when it gets darker) you will see them as usual. For some reason (i couldn't find out why yet) the texture emissive overlay is getting burned away from the sunlight at daytime. If i would know how to fix that for TSW3 (it works all fine in TSW2) i would do it. People here and there might hype the quality work from TSG, but we are not omniscient. I would say, that 'bug' (it was not a bug in TSW2 what the loco was made for) is not fixable in an easy way (without getting hands on the texturing and what else again).

 

Yeah, i figured out that it has to do something with the Emissive Textures, but i dont know how TSW works internally with Unreal Engine I just hope, this will get fixed some day, as this DLC is easily one of the best for TSW in my opinion Thanks for replying!

 

Well since TSG and DTG work together they should be able to figure it out and fix it asap

 

Maybe its due the new lighting system. The Steam trains lamps almost don't give any light either since TSW3...

 

There are more pressing issues than this unfortunately that dtg need to work on. This and any other lighting issues in tsw2 content would require the lighting to be rebuilt which would just take too much time for dtg. They can't update everything to the newer standard of lighting and clouds and all

 

Nope, the backlights also dont work on TSW Compatible Routes (Routes from TSW2 like Dresden - Chemnitz)

 

Then they should say that, when buying their Product... "Sorry, our Product might not be like what we say in this description". And missing backlights in a Simulation is in my opinion not excusable. I paid for this so i could atleast expect it to work like it is advertised, right? And in their Promoshots, the backlight is working.

 

There are lots of issues DTG needs to work on but thankfully they have lots of people available. They are a big studio. Should be no problem to fix the big issues and this light issue.

 

I just fixed that issue on my side. There was a functionality implemented to reduce the red lights intensity that is not working in TSW3 anymore. They are working now (here) but are way too bright (as most lights in TSW3). No idea when the update could be pushed out to the users.

The BR 420 will be released when its ready to be released

 

It is still heavily WIP. TSG"s route will come first, then 420, and thne 232. No dates atm ^^

We got literally proof from himself, proof that 420 will come after the TSG route so... & maybe keep it also in English here.

you say the 420 comes first but the developer says his route comes first, so who's going to be right here?

 

Plans change all the time up to the last minute so if a dev changes the release order, then that's how it is releasing

Plans will not change yet. Route first, then 420, then 232.

Just want to ask you, if you have any news about this Issue? Its been 5 Months now, and it hasnt been released to the public...

 

DTG Matt Can you find out why the patch for the G6 rear lights has not been released yet please?

Since it just fixes the rear lights it shouldn't cause any problem with other game systems. Maybe it can be added to the next bugfix release.

 

Since there hasn't been a reply in a Week by Matt, maybe Maik or DTG Alex can help here?

 

Maik made his part of the job by fixing the problem, but he has no control on builds or release schedules. Maybe Alex can tell the higher ups that we are asking, but I dont think he can do much more than that. I think our best bet is Matt.

 

Personally I'm hoping the delay is that they are going to tie it in with a fix to the signalling so the broken service can be completed.

 

DTG Matt or DTG Alex, will this Fix by Maik ever see the public build? Its been well over half a Year now with no words about this... I have reported this Issue two times already (+ this Thread with Maik's answer) its getting really frustrating

Also what about the broken Journey scenarios which are still outstanding for a fix.

 

Is it possible that repaints or sharing via the Creators Club are not possible with the G6? Even if I delete all Vossloh logos, the message "Content is not supported" appears.

 

A little off-topic, I would argue.

The G6 and the ICEs have been blocked from Creator's Club by DB. You may create your own liveries for them, but you may not share them online.
