Incorrect placement. How many cars are supposed to stop here ? I'm not a native to this place so can somebody explain why there is a 30 feet long wall sitting here ? Busiest station outside London, seriously ?
Somebody inform the staff, the track here is unsafe Oh, dear lord ! Why build a gantry normally, when you can shove it 6 inches into a wall !
Some electrical cabinets have this weird texture. And this one is half-way in the ground. Some of them make a humming sound. That's a nice detail
Damn, that's some quite shoddy scenery work there. Floating, sunken and clipping objects are never a good sign. But the empty and misplaced signs are even worse, as they are actually supposed to have meaningful information in a railway simulator. But the busiest station outside London really made me smile. Give me back "busiest railway in the US" LIRR memories... Looks like I'm not missing out on much by not getting TSW3 so far.
Do they serve any purpose ? ( IRL ) The way it is placed in this instance, abruptly / without any weathering or torn texture makes it look like out of place.
At least in TS classic you could pop into the editor and adjust these little niggles. You could sort out a rubbish level crossing or move a sign post that is hidden by another object. If you were local you could even add things that you knew were there in real life. Unfortunately that extra 10% of work takes more than 10% of the time to produce a route so it is probably not viable for DTG, even if the devs sorely want to improve the route. It’s a shame.
The worst part is that sometimes they fix 5 things & break 10 others. 'Clanking buffers on British steam trains cause American freight trains to derail', Imagine that happening in an alternate reality...
Except the last screen shot, i agree with the points. The 323 is done very well, and nobody can change the fact tsw just has not the locos & trains needed for a busy route outside london. At least not modern ac traction. But im really concerned about the missing signs and the awful trackwork (holes etc) at some places like in the ops screenshots. Thats usually the stuff considered "not gamebraking" , which will remain for years. Im a no Hud driver. Missing signs is not an option for that price increace. I hope dtg fixes those scenery bugs. Like i said in a post after the first pics got released: Get this route done properly and release it in 2 months.
I mean they could literally ask one or two testers to walk around the track and stations and make a note of anything like this.
Random bits of wall like that are quite common, it could be the remains of a former building or steam era loading dock or put there to protect the line from maybe a weak part of an embankment so I don't see that as an issue. Some of the other items are just sloppy and some are very small points though like the cabinet being a little submerged, I suspect many users wouldn't even notice that or be particular bothered by it. Overall though it is a nicely made and detailed route, the class 323 especially.
Yes i agree, would be interesting when the screenshot was made. Right After i load a map, the passengers are entering the station from their spawning points. So they get more and more. Really empty stations i noticed at night or right after loading a route. But to be honest, couldnt test xcity line by now, just checked the 323 quickly. So rush hour passengers are dumped below the carpet now? I hope not..
