The Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) is a proposed link between Glasgow City Centre and Glasgow Airport. The original plans for an airport rail link were proposed during the 2000s to directly link Glasgow Central station with Glasgow Airport in Scotland. The link was intended for completion by 2013 and would have had a service of four trains per hour via Paisley Gilmour Street railway station.[1]
It's probably one of the least used UK routes in TSC, so I don't really think it would be interesting enough to make on its own. It would be better featured as part of a larger route such as the Inverclyde line to give it more playability.
If I were you I would suggest a merger with Inverclyde Railway line with Cathcart circle providing Class 314 Electric multiple unit as a layer or substitution? In return you get to use a Class 380 on Cathcart Circle Rush hour trips.
That is a good point, but DTG can obtain the intended service pattern with the Combined Inverclyde line route. Even though GARL was Canceled (UK TSW community spelling Cancelled).
As far as I know, Class 380 only runs to Neilston these days. Don't know about the old timetable though.
Sorry. Neilston and Newton but I don't think the Class 314 leaves the circle unless it's a special service. Although these days the Class 314 doesn't run at all so (hmmmmmm) maybe I'm wrong.
The 314 operated everywhere on the CCL plus Neilston and Newton, nowadays that's 318s, 320s or 380s which do those services
I must say though. The class 380 could really do with a update. At least for TSC. The quality looks awfull on those images!
