I am suggesting a modern day (2019) ECML Peterborough-York (with hull and leeds) branchline. The peterborough to york line comes in at a staggering 102 miles - which would make it the second longest route in the game. ROLLING STOCK: rolling stock should include Class 800 Intercity Express Trains “Azuma” Class 43 LNER Class 91 LNER Sprinters Class 185
i agree, the scenario, rolling stock and scenery would be quite mesmerising, on tsc i play that route a lot and i have so much love for the route
probably the class 43s,91s, 800s and the sprinters, specifically the 91s they look beautiful speeding through grantham
Oh yes the lovely Grantham know her well from my holidays to skeg vegas can imagine how awesome they’d look
I would just focus on the Peterborough to York section which is 112 miles and forget about Leeds as there are only six stations to model and DTG could get away with making one new model in the form of the 800/801 and 802 which are incredibly similar to cover the LNER and Hull Trains services. If DTG were feeling very ambitious they could give us a 225 as well or if they were feeling less ambitious reskin the interior and exterior of the HST for their services. Preferably though the route would be set in the 70s where DTG would at a bare minimum only need to make a 55 and 56 with the other BR blue locos layering in on appropriate services. Overall I would love to see this section of the ECML as it is the section I have lived along for all but 3 years of my life and so the era wouldn't matter too much as I have great memories of it from every decade from when I was born to now. Great suggestion mate!!!
I feel like the leeds line would give it more replayability and it counts for the players who prefer shorter routes. ideally i would LOVE the GNER era, that had loads of rolling stock and maybe JUST maybe a 373 addon
Yes the Leeds section would be nice but I was thinking more realistically and would prefer just to have Peterborough to York and it look good as Leeds is another 30 miles and hull is 40 odd. Also the Leeds section would at least need a 331 which would leave us with only an 80x for the expresses. Personally I would prefer less mileage but give us the 91 and 80xs to appeal to the oldies and modern fans. Probably shouldn't say this but GNER has always had a soft spot in my heart and were one of the best and I do miss them.
I'm thinking 155s for AI only services from Hull and 158s for playable services from York to Church Fenton before the AI takes over going towards Leeds
