I believe the Great Western Route was modelled at a time when the OLE was live as far as Maidenhead, and 387s would have been running stopping Paddington to Maidenhead services alongside the turbostars. Currently this can be achieved using the scenario planner, however unless you design your own GWR livery then it won't be accurate, as well as meaning your not following real life timings.
Class 387's worked a handful of peak hour Paddington to Hayes & Harlington shuttles in 2016 which is when I believe the route is set.
Impossible since the OHW doesn't go till Reading, it would require an full rebuild of the route sadly enough
Use Livery Designer for the Livery and Scenario Planner for the Scenario No in all fairness, GWE needs remade but will it, probably not unless an extension were to be made to Swindon or Oxford
I'd love it to get extended to Oxford or better, to Southampton Central, so we can have Cross Country services going from Reading to Southampton.
Would be a great route to introduce cross country on. Maybe even go down to Bournemouth where XC terminate. You'll also have 166s from Reading to Basingstoke and anything SWR/SWT from Basingstoke to Bournemouth
Yeah I have to agree there, SWR run their 444s and 450s down towards Southampton and Bournemouth on their way to Weymouth and the 166 can layer from GWE for Reading-Bournemouth
i really think DTG should pay attention to the GWE, give it the SEHS treatment, at least an extension into wales or bristol, that route is the best route in TSW and it deserves more love
It would work better as an extension as Seandouglas and others said. Hopefully this does happen combined with the extensions that the rest of you guys said.
