Is there supposed to be AI traffic at Lübeck on HBK? I'm sure there used to be AI trains for Travemünde but there's nothing there now, or maybe I'm just going mad?
Nah, the update was for Hamburg Hbf mainly. Reasoning at the time was that we don't have an appropriate DMU for the surrounding railways of Lübeck and Bad Oldesloe. Though I have used the BR 612 to fill in for BR 648s on Bremen-Oldenburg, I'm still not sure about that decision, personally.
Joethefish I'd rather have the extra traffic to make the route have a more exciting/busier timetable with added variation - plus, as a big fan of the BR 612, I'm overjoyed to see it on a new route other than Dresden Chemnitz. Elsewhere, this reminds me of another really good decision regarding timetables on previous routes, such as the inclusion of Milton Keynes services on London Commuter. While obviously unrealistic to have them being operated by 377/1s and 4s i.e. without pantographs, as seen in the game, to me, this didn't matter as it meant a whole load of new services and variation to the timetable. Personally, as TSW at the end of the day is a video game, I'd rather have decisions which increases the enjoyment of gameplay overall and potentially make use of more existing DLC, such as the aforementioned BR 612. Though, just to be clear, while I don't mind timetables being a bit unrealistic if for added gameplay, I wouldn't want them being completely unrealistic if that makes sense. As such, going back to the original topic of this thread, I'd happily see the BR 612 added to the Hamburg route around Lübeck and Bad Oldesloe if that's possible.
I like the additional traffic with the current stuff in tsw but at the same time, I wouldn't want it to happen every time cuz at the end of the day, it would be better to have to actual train even though I don't know what trains run where and stuff like that. Some people want the realistic timetable. Some people want a busier timetable even if it means using unrealistic trains. After all, the 648 is a very different train from the 612 and would have been better to include a 648 tbh. But I'm not upset either that a 648 is not included due to reasons listed above
That’s correct but at least the RB 86 is mostly driven by BR 112 + Dostos. Only Lints in the evening and morning.
What year is the timetable set? As I thought half the Hamburg - Lübeck trains continue onto Travemünde in the real timetable. Even without the AI traffic at Lübeck, the updated timetable is fantastic so thank you for upgrading it!
In my opinion the 612 is does not fill in for the 648 too well. The 612 is more suited for higher quality service as the IRE, with a comfortable low density interior. The 648 is about the lowest quality transport you can get.
Probably if Niddertalbahn actually arrives with Br 628, that might be a better candidate supporting the old-school feel of the route.
I wasn't aware of that until now. Otherwise I would've added them, my apologies. That would be 2021, when it was made. I think RE 8 continues to Travemünde but only on the weekends? The timetables I was following had them turning back at Lübeck. Glad you like the update anyway!
Is it not possible to have a layers toogle so we can choose what layers we want and what we don't? Same with substitutions, Personally I'm ok with trains of the same period which share similarities subbing in. I'm actually more triggered by the TGV on SEHS, a train from an incorrect country being included but I appreciate I am certainly in the minority on this. Whilst it's not possible to please all the people all of the time, giving more options will please more of the people more of the time
That would be a nice feature to have. Something that's beyond my capabilities so I wouldn't know if it's possible, easy or difficult to implement. Sorry.
