As like you can see where your train is going to and what time its coming but... We don't them saying "PLEASE STAND BACK FROM THE PLATFORM EDGE THE NEXT TRAIN DOES NOT STOP AT THIS STATION" Like something like that or it could say "The 09:31 Great Western Railway Service has been Delayed by 4 minutes" or something like "We're sorry that the 09:32 Great Western Railway Service To Reading has been Cancelled" i think this is a nice idear to make the game more fun and modern and to see when a fast train is not stopping or a train is delayed/cancelled i think this would be possible but fingers crossed! cant get to excited lol. hope its possible! That would be great! Sadly they probably wouldn't get access to the actual announcements heard irl because of the license requirements but they could get other employees to voice them. Kind of like how they have a generic English route anouncment voice and a generic Scottish one for random announcement about weather and stay back from the platform edge.
To implement it in the game is not hard. But getting the permission to may use the voice of the person and license of the operator is the hardest part. They already talked few times about this, further nothing to add to any more news about it
Recording is the easy part. Implementation is difficult. And you gotta have them play at the right time. Sounds, especially announcements might take up lots of space or use up a lot of memory and cause other problems which dtg want to make sure doesn't happen. The dispatcher would need an upgrade to be dynamic and cope with delays and stuff which it can't really do at the moment. So lots of work would need to done first. Nice feature to have but there probably are technical limitations at the moment
