Heres a couple of creations churned out for your games: First off is this Ford Shunter. I designed this to add more variety to the Oakville CN route. And since the automotive plant in the Oakville subdivision is a ford plant, why not have a dedicated switcher for their local operations. And yes, the irony of a GM locomotive in a Ford Livery is not lost on me ;) Please note: Due to a known custom liveries texture issue following a Dovetail TSW3 update, some of these liveries may appear glitchier on your screen than they did on mine in the livery editor
    ford shunter.jpeg

Next is this TTX box car graffiti'd, weathered, and generally covered in assorted railroad filth.
    railbox.jpeg

And Lastly is a CSX ac4400cw that i made to help your sand patch railroad look a little less sterile, and a bit more gritty and nasty. csx weathered.jpeg

...what an extremely detailed weathering effect! It's a miracle that the locomotive is still running, but you shouldn't derive the inner values from the outer condition. ;)

Hah Thanks! However, if you've ever seen some of CN's yard mules in real life, you wouldn't be surprised at all by the condition of these things lol

The only thing is they were permanently coupled to the slave units and never operated on their own like this which is what made them class 13s.

Well said sir. His work is well bang on. Great to see because in the real world nothing is in mint condition. Especially on US railroads hence I was going to something along the same lines but panicked in case it was seen as a bad reflection on certain companies. I only got as far as the “The Beast”. So again we’ll done to this guy. Credit where Credits due.

Longsight TMD in Manchester named some of their shunters in the 1980s, and added some livery embellishments too. Here are a selection now on the Hub.
PS Need to check the colour of the rods on 599 and 686 20221114203453_1.jpg 20221115135121_1.jpg 20221117153839_1.jpg 20221117154128_1.jpg

This is a Rio Grande SD40; A more typical patch that you'd see among UP's Fleet.

CaltrainPatch.jpeg Here's an Ex Caltrain repatched as a Union Pacific. While The Union Pacific Technically owns and operates Caltrain, I figured it'd be kinda interesting to depict one of their locomotives outside of the context of commuter service, and recontextualized as a grunt on UP's freight network.

Here's an Ex Metra repatched as a Union Pacific. Similarly to the Caltrain Above, While The Union Pacific Technically owns and operates Metra, I figured it'd be kinda interesting to depict one of their locomotives outside of the context of commuter service, and recontextualized as a grunt on UP's freight network. In any case, thanks for taking a look... All 3 of these are available for download in the creators club.

I've had a peculiar fascination with weathering and paint decay lately which has become evident on my designs. As such, I always felt that the Sherman Hill SD70's Star Spangled paintjobs as majestic as they are, were simply just too perfect looking. Half of the flags on the UP's that you see driving around have faded to the point where you can barely recognize them. So, I figured I'd bring this element of realism of this unfortunate paint flaw into the virtual world. The convenient part about making faded versions of this decal in the game is the ability to cut a ton of corners regarding flag strip and star details. Anyhow, Thanks for taking a look. This one is available for download in the creators club. UP FLAG.jpeg UP Flag Side.jpeg

Just added this to the Hub. 08786 had this livery in December 1987 when I saw it at Thornaby station. Notice it doesn't have the Thornaby Kingfisher. I'm not sure what happened to this loco, I never photographed it again. 20221123152246_1.jpg

Made this earlier. Not sure if I’ve seen something similar to it yet so I wanted to make one to help where I can to spread awareness for mental health

Just released a couple more 08s to the Hub - both Longsight TMD locos, 08283 'North Western' and 08820 'Guide Bridge'.

I'm looking to do some of Penzance's 08 soon, there are a few livery variants that can be done.

There’s a thread somewhere here that links to a Youtube video “how to” on weathering. It’s quite good.

Yeah work with gradients. Give them a brown rusty color and change opacity. Create more layers to get realistic effect

That's probably the key to effective weathering- layer on lots of mostly-transparent shapes one over the other, like working with an airbrush.

Named Class 47 No. 47843 "Vulcan"
The debranded Virgin Trains livery is accurate for this loco circa 2005, latest creation using Livery Designer on TSW3 PlayStation 5 and available on Creator's Club. 204cb487-64a7-413b-b267-5acd16577ef8.jpeg

And here she is. Beautiful, ain't she?

Only one problem- the "Northern Pacific" lettering on the B-unit is 132 layers, and there is no headroom under the cap to mirror it to the other side. (Tragically, the awesome "unlimited layers" mod for TSW2 doesn't work with 3). So this one isn't going to be uploaded for the foreseeable future.

EDIT: the mod does work; I had a disk assignment screwup/

All right, folks, it's finished and up!

Raymond Loewy's 1955 North Coast Limited is one of the great iconic liveries. It "fits" more or less in Cajon Pass because the NP was one of the constituent fallen flags of the Burlington Northern.

Unfortunately. there's no way to erase the polished stainless sections in the underlying model, so I'm stuck with a "ghost warbonnet." Also, the undercarriage should be a combination of dark and light green, but it isn't paintable in LD. Oh, and the Northern Pacific lettering was applique, not painted directly on the grille.

Since this is conceived as a museum train, for once I didn't dirty it up.

Latest Class 08 is one for Birmingham Cross City - 08601 in its LMS Black livery, numbered as '601' and named 'SPECTRE'. The nameplate needs work, but the font is all wrong and I've had to improvise:

This livery was inspired by the Class 116 and other classes of DMU that served the South Wales Valley Lines network during the 1970s and late 1980s.

The most difficult part of this livery was the Welsh dragon displayed in either end and on the sides of each car. Each dragon is made of between 50 & 60 shapes.
