Does anyone else get this issue when you are about halfway into a service when driving a steam loco and the game just stops and says service failure when you've done nothing to fail it.
Yes its an AI service either spadding or derailing. It is something Dovetail are aware of and are investigating as to why it does it. Hentis
I had AI spads in scenario planner when it first came out. It was on NTP. My train was leaving Manchester Victoria for Leeds and I'd set up AI trains going in the other direction. The scenario failed as I reached the same place more or less every time. I found out it was because the stop point at Victoria heading west was too close to the signal. It worked if a short nosed loco like a 47 stopped at the signal but I'd set up an 08 to pass me on Miles Platting bank. When it reached Victoria, because the front of the loco was several yards from the cab, it passed the red signal and screwed everything up.
I made a scenario on TVL using the Stanier 8F (Xbox series S) and the first time I ran it it worked fine. After that I get the scenario failure at Thornaby station going into Tees Yard everytime I try to run it!
I have had nothing but problems with the yards and scenario planner. Although it has been a long time since i last tried the yards in scenario planner. The issue could be more about tvl dispatching than the steam locos.
I had one earlier on Peak Forest Scenario Planner with no AI, so just ran a search and found this thread.
since my last post on this thread I have found out the issue was I had firing set to assisted. I scrapped the scenario i mentioned (deleted my whole game profile to start again thinking it may be a data corruption with my game save) I made a new scenario and it works as it should for me everytime I run it since I've set firing to auto.
