Ok so I've just had this idea that what if we extend the Brighton Mainline to Tonbridge Not Only that the South-eastern 375's would not just have East Croydon to stop at. They would have East Croydon Redhill and Tonbridge. and the Class 377/3 maybe would be introduced to the route to. bit like London Victoria to Reigate but Redhill to Tonbridge hope this extension is possible. The stations in this route would include Tonbridge, Leigh Penshurst, Edenbridge, Godstone, Nutfield, And Finally Redhill and Emergency Services from London Victoria to Tonbridge, these services would be pretty rare on the timetable if this is ever added. Hope this could be possible one day. Have a nice day.
Ever since I started playing this game, I was thinking how cool it would be to have the map extended by all the DLCs acquired, the way map extensions are for Euro/American Truck Simulator. Take the train from Victoria to Brighton, then hop onto a train to Eastbourne, then another to Ashford, and then maybe TGV to Paris, etc. But I see now why this would not be possible with TSW3: they simulate every train on the "current" map, whether you're on it or not. The simulation part in ETS2/ATS is only around the player: they add traffic (cars, vans, trucks, even trains) only around the player's truck, and nothing is simulated for remote parts of the map. Whereas in TSW3, you can sit in one place, open a map and track every train that enters in service, travels through the map, stops at stations, etc. With a huge map, this kind of simulation would be almost impossible. The point I am trying to make is that DTG must draw a line to how big any one map can be, so that the simulation doesn't stall. I wouldn't get my hopes up that they will ever add more map to an existing DLC. And I'm not even touching the subject of pricing.
They Extended Southeastern Highspeed so why cant they extend the BML what can you prove to me wich does not alow them to extend it?
Well - They rebuilt the part around the extention - the proper hs1 section was built from the ground up - here were looking at the Gatwick area getting rebuilt atleast
The only extension that would make sense for London Commuter is to add the line to London Bridge. Anything else isn’t representative of the line being depicted. This suggestion is just a random bit of extra track that doesn’t really add any new interest to the route and it likely can’t be done anyway. The layer for the 375 is already not available to gen 8 console players as it would crash the game if it was added, so adding more line that they can’t drive on wouldn’t really be a good idea. A previous post has explained that there are technical limitations and the route is already close to exceeding the limit. So that’s two good reasons why this extension can’t be done for this route to add to the lack of any actual need for it. The time not spent making an extension to London Commuter will be spent making a new route that works for everyone to enjoy.
it would be awesome to merge the BML and East Coastway, and add the loop of track between Lewes and Wivelsfield.
Yes ofc. Dovetail have to get thameslink into the game it would go so good with Southeastern Highspeed and the Brighton Mainline.
It's funny because - the day they got southern livery they technically got thameslink - there operated by the same company
The Wivelsfield branch is currently isolated as it is not included in either London Commuter or ECW. It should've been included to begin with.
Not how it works. If dtg did have the thameslink livery when they got the southern livery, we would have seen routes that ran thameslink trains or a loco dlc, but we didn't. Thameslink didn't give the license to dtg to use their livery and trains in game. It was not until recently (idk exact date) that thameslink finally gave permission and tsc got the 700 which turned out to be a huge flop. They may be under the same company, but they are still 2 completely different liveries
Are you trying to Link BML with SEHS Extended to Ashford via Redhill & Tonbridge or not? If yes then Build the Redhill Tonbridge Ashford Line and phase 2 is Redhill to Ashford via Wivelsfield and Eastbourne. That Way DTG can have a TSW3 base pack called southeast Nework region London Victoria and St Pancras Govia group.
We have the same problem with GWE and the isolated (and unlikely to ever be included) branch/freight lines between London Paddington and Reading. Poor planning and decision making choice.
