So RG is listing a future route with possible steam traction.Thoughts on this?
I'm thinking Isle of Wright Steam Railway.
There IOW line already has had the smallbrook station twice.
Could this have been a hint for there 1st steam route anyway at 5.5 miles and 4 stations you couldn't ask for a easier 1st steam route.
They biggest job would be the required steam locos and passenger cars.

It's not a route. It's an expansion pack. Basically like diesel legends and rhb anniversary pack with scenarios and a separate timetable. No new locomotives or additional track. So it'll use one or both of the steam locos in game, jubilee or 8f. Creating new coaches and loco would be a loco pack, not an expansion pack

I’d like to see Severn Valley or if they choose a smaller route KWVR. Either, I feel, would create more interest than IoW.

Personally, I think IOW is the better choice for Rivet's first steam content. It's a small extension to their IOW 22 route and ideal to get to grips with making steam locomotives in TSW. They could make the Hawthorn Leslie W37 'Invincible' as a bit of a nod to the original TS IOW too.

As a local, I'd love to see Severn Valley in TSW, especially if it was during GWR or BR era instead of preservation times. It would run 40 odd miles from Shrewsbury to Kidderminster instead and pass through Ironbridge which is a landmark in of itself. They need to fully fix steam physics in the game before making more much needed steam content though.

RG recycling dtg 2 steam locos sound like taking the easy way out for RG,RG won't learn anything about making a steam loco by reusing already in game locos.DTG opened the steam loco pandora box now it's time to move to the next effort.

Rivet are pretty decent at making Locomotives and their Station replication isn’t too bad either, but their route design is totally diabolical. However IoW steam route is only about 5 miles and there is little of scenic importance for them to miss or mess up. If it is IoW then the price should be no more than £14.99 providing there is a new steam locomotive or two.

Their locomotives are pretty poor too, especially sounds and physics. Look at the 204, ge 4/4 ii, 150, 38 tube stock, 483 especially. 150 used ap sounds rivet messed up implementation of, launched with incorrect physics which was later improved and still has major issues to this day. 204 has wrong physics completely. 38 tube stock has poor sounds. 483 has its own minor issues but not terrible. The rabe 523 and 484 were quite good but not quite. Rivet are only really good at the 3d art such as the loco and stations. Their route building has improved. Luzern sursee and island line 2022 are quite good compared to wcl and arl

Hey who doesn't love the fact that your driver character still looks like a living scarecrow while enbedded in the driver seat. That's RB attention to detail right there.I would never have known a 523 driver really drive in this style.
