I did think they were Hitachi thanks for confirming. How you can tell it's a 385 by looking at that blurry clip I will never know! Like I say my judgement is solely on the blurry blue looks and primarily the Hitachi sound. Scotrail don't have any other units with Hitachi traction motors do they?
Flashier edinburgh via farkwick confirmed then - 380's don't run on Fife and that's the only other route that goes there so the first route idea was enfact correct it seems
Linlithgow is West Lothian which is literally just outside Edinburgh. Maybe it really is Edinburgh to Glasgow after all. I hope it is because that is going to be amazing. The fact Edinburgh Waverly will potentially exist in TSW makes me very hopeful we will later on get trains heading up north to Dundee and Aberdeen. Can only dream for now but hopefully it becomes reality .
Looking very likely to be the Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley via Falkirk route with Class 385 sets. If correct, we could potentially see future historical layers included such as Class 126 dmus, Class 25,27,37,47 push pull trains and even Class 158 and 170 dmus, all of which have at some point worked this route.
so by the looks of it is Scottish and could be the Glasgow to Edinburgh line do we know when they are announcing it. As I think they might do it tomorrow (Thursday for me) as if i'm correct that's what they did with the Birmingham cross city line.
Maybe. Maybe not. But hopefully tomorrow is the day since we probably won’t see anything else until after the festive holidays are over. A nice trailer with a release date would be a good Christmas present for us all haha.
Will we see the suspension bridges of Edinburgh? Just checked Steam: there's a DLC extension for the TSC over the Forth Bridge from Edinburgh to Dunfermline. Or maybe this will be an expansion pack? Would be a nice sight with Rivet's great water presentation and the 3D volumetric clouds.
Looks like a 385. Also, train in the background doesn’t seem to be a 385? Perhaps a 314, or (hopefully) a 156? (From TSW twitter)
...the top blurred image looks like a steam locomotive with a passenger train on a viaduct. Probably a railtour service. SOS is still alive! BTW: a good example of extreme depth of field in a future photo mode.
I feel like I'm gonna have to get this purely for the steam content which I imagine will go with it I'm a sucker for anything with British steam in it! Edit: As long as they get the steam fixes out anyway
just read it.. so excited! expecially how they have announced that we are getting headboards for steam!
like wise. If a route has any of the following included, Imma getting it: 1) Steam 2) Cult Classic trains (ie Class 55, Class 91 etc) 3) It's set in the UK or any of the british isles
Why has people got a problem with the London Underground I personally think we need another underground route maybe Metropolitan Line or District Line as it's a subsurface routes
Probably cuz of the fact that bakerloo was difficult for dtg to make cuz of all the underground stations and light baking. The sounds don't give off a subway vibe and some people don't like driving in a claustrophobic tunnel. Joe came in and saved the day with the timetable. Creating a subway system that is busy and complex with underground sections do take up a lot of time. Would love to see another one soon but at the same time, I don't think many people enjoyed bakerloo and i think dtg don't really like subway routes
I think the new route has gotta be Edinbrugh to Glasgow via Falkirk High Although it could be the Shotts line... BEST DLC EVER!!!! by TSW Nathan posted Dec 21, 2022 at 4:41 PM Class 385 by TSW Nathan posted Aug 7, 2022 at 5:16 PM
Whoops, I'd been avoiding that route waiting for it... Might have to leave the beautiful Ariosa line and return underground. I also wonder if the 385 will layer onto CCL like the 101 does on WCL.
So how many services are we looking at? Haymarket and Waverley stations can include AI or playable services depending of where they branch off to Dunblane,Alloa,Dumbarton Central via Airdrie, queen street via,Shotts, via Cumbernauld, HST to cardenden. So Edinburgh and Queen street shouldn’t be empty. Even if we just have the 385
There should be lots. I'm not certain on how many but I can assure you that Edinburgh should have a fair bit of traffic (if timetabled correctly)
Let’s hope all of the service details and patterns match up this time since lots of the developers are probably riding on these trains daily (Rivet‘s HQ is quite close to the route). There are some glaring mistakes on Luzern-Sursee that have never really been addressed.
Joe is a dtg employee doing a million things for dtg, not a rivet employee so I highly doubt he helped rivet with their timetable.
At least he can also try making Cathcart Circle post 18-19 February 2019 because those were the days of Class 385 Cathcart Circle runs Rush Hours only with 314s 380s doing normal services.
I think Rivet Games' New Scottish Route will be Glasgow - Edinburgh via Falkirk (with the Class 385).
True not many liked The Bakerloo Line as most of the route is underground but liked I previously said The Metropolitan Line or District Line is a subsurface line with small percentage of it underground
I wonder if we will be able to spot a glimpse of the forth bridges and Edinburgh airport in the distance as we head out of Edinburgh. Also Murrayfield stadium but that one is obvious as it’s literally right next to the train tracks. Can’t miss it lol. Would be nice to see since they are famous landmarks in Scotland.
Well... Rivet aren't exactly known for their scenary but maybe because it's so close to them they might put a bit more detail and effort into this route.
