Hi all, quick question in relation to the sale and BR 187. I'd love to add a 187 to my collection, but I was wondering what the remaining issues with it are. Recent steam reviews seem more positive, and apperently a lot of things have been fixed since TSW3. Is it now a good deal at €7.69?
Sounds are pretty bad and hurts your ears, so if you ever pick it up, highly recommend you download the sound mod over on the trainsim community website. Afb still applies max power no matter what power setting you set the throttle at so you'll get wheelslip if you rely on afb so I just run without it. Can't really talk about the safety systems cuz I don't play with those turned on. Some people are upset bright headlights are wrong. I will post some links. The dlc is only good if you want a modern locomotive that is not a 185 which has been used in many dlcs. There are many new services for ska and subs into many other german routes. Tbh the model is amazing but sounds and AFB are still broken… But especially for AI freight trains it’s a welcome addition!
Its the only German Addon I dont own and wouldnt take unless free or fixed. I somewhat dont like the idea of buying something knowing only a soundmod will make it somewhat driveable, but then there are still the issues with the Headlight, AFB, and LZB/PZB in cab Visuals. Also the mindset at launch where the completely wrong sounds were looked over as traxx is traxx just turned me off..... The only addon id agree on the term broken lazy cash grab, the AI is varied enough for me with different 185s, 155, and 182s. I'd say get any other german addon you dont own, its much more worth the money and a better experience
