Guys I Managed To Connect 2 Class 465s To A 313 That Has 9 Coaches And It Made It 17 Coaches Long

    Oh wow. I did not know you could do that! I thought it was just 319s (which aren't in the game, but I saw a switch in the cab that said 319 coupling on it)

    could you movie it from both ends?

    I think you can drive it from the front end and the back end but not the middle end

    Most of the BR era EMUs had tightlock couplers so were mechanically compatible (but not electrically so emergency only).

    Currently I believe Dellner couplers are required on all new stock in the UK for similar mechanical compatibility.

    The exception here are the Sprinter and Pacers because they are designed to run together bsi system.

    Those are DMUs, I gather BR Provincial balked at the high cost/weight of the Tightlock, so went for the BSI coupler.

    I suspect once the Sprinter fleet is cleared out, in the next 10 years or so* the Turbostars will gain Dellners

    *GWR are reportedly planning to replace their entire Sprinter/Turbo fleet starting from 2028, planning is still under way so it'll be a while before an order is placed.
