Hi, unfortunately I currently cannot complete the scenario Early Riser with the Baby Bullet. This is caused by a wrong path into San Jose Deridion ending on the wrong track. It appears that this itself is caused by a second train leaving the depot after the player one. Unfortunately it seems to be triggered by the last go via, so you cannot fix it with waiting or being faster at refueling. Edit: Changed scenario name, should not have written this before my first coffee.
There is a way to do it. After you fuel wait for the other train to leave the yard before you go onto the mainline. You’ll get red signals behind it. Once done it’ll line you into the right track and you can complete the scenario. I had the exact same problem. I was too efficient fueling so I beat the other train out. The track is lined for the other track assuming the other train arrives first
Do you know how long you had to wait? I was under the impression that the go via triggered the second train leaving the depot, however I could be wrong.
Not more than a couple mins. It wasn’t long. Depends on how long you fuel. The first time I did it I had your problem. Second time I made a save point before I entered the main looked at the mainline saw it was clear then had the same problem. Restored the save and then that’s when I saw the train coming out of the yard. the other train will trigger on its own.
I actually messed up this scenario completely because I kept stopping too far away from the refueling station… or so I thought! Turns out this delay caused me to get slotted in behind the AI train, allowing me to complete the scenario without issues
Tried waiting again yesterday, but the other train would not move after 10 minutes. So what I did was trigger it by going over the marker, then stop and reverse giving way. Waited for the other train to reach its platform and then continued into the correct one. Not elegant, but at least it worked.
Just had the same Problem in TSW4. Got into the Station just ahead of the other Train and in to the wrong Platform.
This worked for me just now, thank you! I can't believe that this is how it's supposed to be done though, it must have broken under backwards compatibility. Out of curiosity, I might just have to redownload TSW 2020, along with this DLC, see what happens, and report back, if anyone's interested. EDIT: TSW 2020 version of this scenario is easily completable without any stalling, or backing up to trick the AI into moving ahead of you, as the AI train works as expected, meaning you can be as efficient as possible, and still complete the scenario correctly.
