    Route description
Drive along this beautiful west midland commuter route that is 76 miles long with a ton of services to be operated testing the skill of you the driver in train sim world 4 on the Snow Hill lines: Birmingham to Worchester, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington.

    Intro
Hello, I would like to suggest the Snow hill lines which include the Birmingham to Worchester line via Kidderminster, Chiltern mainline up to Leamington spa and the North Warwickshire line to Stratford-up-Avon for Train Sim World 3 because I think it is an underrated group of lines in my opinion which have been the backbone of Birmingham which will be great route if made for TSW3.

Training: (In training Center and on route [only in depot where it is allocated to])
    Class 172/1 and 172/0 introduction
    Class 172/2 and 172/3 introduction

    Route introduction of the route
This will be like NTP's route introduction where you go on a train and get the route plus its history explained to you for this route you will be riding a class 172/3 from lye to Birmingham snow hill being told of the route's history on the way. Also, a new feature will be shown to you the player.

    Scenarios:
Not smooth sailing: (Difficulty-4) (class 172/3)

Rescue a class 172/2 which has failed at Worchester foregate street after failing after operating from new street. By taking the train back to its depot for repairs via new street passing all stations but having the lowest priority on the line meaning you will be stopped a lot. Once you arrive at the depot shunt the failed unit and turn off your train so it can be used later in the day.

Where are the passengers: (Difficulty-1) (class 168)
So you were told late at night that a driver had fallen ill, and you had to take over from their train at Leamington spa. You would then collect passengers before taking them to snow hill however they are no passengers as there is a power outage at all stations on the line bar snow hill resulting in them being closed for the night thankfully the signals work. So what do you do, well you've been told to skip every station bar snow hill so the higher ups thinking you are super early then take the train to the depot to be shut off for the late then you finally get to go home.

Smooth flat gangway: (difficulty-2) (class 172/0)
Management has asked you to collect a class 172/3 from the depot and use it on you service to Stratford as extra capacity is needed as the lines busy. So operate your observation coach train stopping at all stops up to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Back and forth really lads: (difficulty-3) (class 168)
So, management has told you that you'll need to operate a train from Birmingham moor street to Leamington spa station stopping at all stations collecting passengers on the way before operating a semi fast express back to Birmingham due to a sports event in Birmingham oh really lads.

    New feature
For this route I've decided to suggest being able to play as a guard or have to certain procedures due to having a guard on board. For the trains on this route the guards will be in the rear cab of the train if multiple units they would be in the middle of the train. This idea I got from two games on Roblox called SCR and Snow hill lines (this route recreated with actual services and guarding).
Timetable: 2024 (once it's been made) working timetables

Services, DLC, Stations on next few pages.

    Services:
    West midlands railway

This info is from 2018 but west midlands railway run 6 trains per hour between Stourbridge junction, Brimingham snow hill and Birmingham moor street. (this is not a complete list of services so if you know any please tell me and also this is from 2018 so this could've changed a lot)

    3tph to dorridge

    3tph to Whitlocks end

2tph continue from the latter stations mentioned to Strafford upon avon.

4tph go past Stourbridge to Kidderminster two of these trains go to Worcester foregate.

    Chiltern railways
Couldn't find a list of services but if you know any I will add them here.

    DLC
I only have one in mind for this suggestion but if you have any others feel free to suggest them on this thread.

Br class 196 civity (west midlands railway)

If added this would be an extension to BCC using class 196 for trains to Worcester due to them expecting to replace 172s on the line in 2023 (this year I'm writing this).

Future extension from Leamington spa to complete the Chiltern mainline

Next few pages stations then closing words.

A dlc could be the class 68 with modified mk3s and a dvt which I believe handle the chiltern expresses.

Excellent idea and if your route shares Birmingham Snow Hill railway station with the Chiltern main line then it will become like a train simulator classic merged route. Bundle is now called train sim world 3 Chiltern & Snow Hill lines

Do you want me to re-edit my comment? I'll edit it now. That would be the best choice for the route merging it with another route forming a network.

Absolutely fantastic suggestion, good on you sir, the Snow Hill lines would be nice, regardless of BCC merge or not, it would still be a great route on its own, if DTG did decide to go with the BCC merge route, they would need to model the section between Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove for the merge to work, and don't get me started on timetable merging, that will take Joe ages to link both timetables together so the merge, although it can happen, it probably won't but the line is long enough by itself anyway :)

Your choice mate I just wanted to let you know in case someone new to the forum read it and got confused as you said train simulator world 3 rather than train sim world 3.
Yeah having all the Chiltern Mainline with the Snow Hill lines would be rather interesting to say the least.

Sim is a short form for Simulator that's why I wrote the full-form Simulator. For Chiltern Mainline with Snow Hill lines merged with each other than can be sold as a bundle for a Normal price.

Yes I weren't born yesterday. The name of this game is Train Sim World 3 not Train Simulator World 3 so your comment could confuse newer members.
Anyway I am not going to argue over this as I only initially pointed it out to avoid any confusion.

hey guys for layering (which i haven't added yet) what do you think it should be as I have railtours in mind that will layer in but nothing that would layer out so could you give me your suggestions. Also how do you think a railtour should be done with the route if it was layered in would it be push pull etc.

Yes Definately, The Snow Hill Lines i frequently Travel On (Between Wilmcote-Stratford for Work) I love the Turbostars and the Rolling Stock would be Easy to add because the 172 can be Modified from the Electrostars and the 165's can be Moddified from the 166. Easy and thanks for Suggesting it

I remember playing Snow Hill Lines tbh, but the big update like killed it. Now, Croydon is taking that game's place in being it's creators flag game.

Personally I think the class 68 should come with the rest of the chiltern mainline instead of being dlc for this route as it isn't really a long bit of the mainline that would justify stopping and starting liek GWE without doing a proper run.

It would be cool having the Chiltern Main Line, as it’s one of the few modern lines left still with loco traction, the only others being the Caledonian Sleeper 73s on the Edinburgh-Dundee line and 92s on the WCML; the CrossCountry 43s, the 43s and 57s on the Cornish Main Line, the 91s on the ECML, the ScotRail 43s, the TransPennine 68s, and the 67s on the Welsh Marches; which may sound like a lot, but it isn’t really.

The Class 86, 87, and 90 finished passenger operations on the WCML in 2019, which could be considered modern, but then the VTEC 43s & 91s could be included, as well as the Anglian 90s.

just found this out the class 172 on this route are fitted with request stop features due to some stations being request stops which change gameplay a bit.

They can do it like that though. However I personally feel like it'll be better to drive a regular service than out of the blue get notified you have to stop at a station that is really close to you but you are going way to fast to stop there.

I actually think this would add some interest to the route. Obviously it would have to have a minimum distance before the stop so you don't massively overshoot

It would but I think it would have to be a minimum of either half a mile or a mile until the station that you learn you have to stop at a request stop station.

Maybe I would also suggest London Marylebone to Birmingham By adding the Class 68 as a add-on

In regards to my suggestion the route can't go to London Marylebone or have the class 68 as it wouldn't work. Due to it being too much mileage for the route and the section from Leamington spa to London would need to be a separate route that could merge into this one.

Great suggestion. Could add a couple of services running to Kidderminster and the SVR as added scenarios.
They would need to model the SVR properly, probably up to the tunnel.

Would like to see it merged with the BCC route, but the BCC route probably needs another extension to make New Street feel like it is in real life. The merge wouldn't really do that here.

If a small section of the SVR was modelled then it could be possible to add rail tours using class 40 and 52 locos due to a few 52s and one 40 being operated by the heritage railway currently. So its possible to add a rail tour for this route.
