I have an idea on how to make multiplayer work, I'm not sure if anyone else had this idea but the best way to make multiplayer work is via cloud computing by creating multiple powerful servers to facilitate route merges and busier timetables while at least accommodating 20 players per server. Here's how each server works: With the Saxony server, all Dresden to Riesa owners have access to the server to begin with. For owners of Rapid Transit, you can travel all the way to Leipzig Hbf by extending the Riesa to Dresden line with the ability to be merged with Dresden Chemnitz. For ingame players, we need to make a running animation from perspective of other players. Also no derailments allowed because it will restart the entire game.
So simple. I expect this will release next year once DTG read this thread and finally know how to make it work.
Excellent idea on paper. Furthermore there is another route that can merge Leipzig Riesa Dresden Dresden Chemnitz Werdau Tharandter Rampe it's the missing Bahnstrecke Riesa Döbeln Chemnitz cut off the corner makes Riesa busy. Basically it makes the Saxon triangle Sachen Dreieck network comprised of the Cities of Chemnitz Riesa Dresden. How are you going to do the United Kingdom Southeast region Network Southeast server? There are missing gap that needs to be filled between BML ECW and SEHS Extended in order to make your plan a success
Dra and dcz are set in different years. Dcz is set in 2012. Dra is set in a more modern setting. So the routes are unable to be merged.
So uuhhhhhh - I see a lot of issues coming along there. One - DEAR THAT IS A LOT OF SERVERS, second uhmmm - that seems like it would ruin a lot of tsw3 and whatnot and also just lag.
One thing you forgot to say is why multiplayer would add anything to the gameplay... Trains don't interact very much and operatives on trains interact infrequently so... what would these players be doing on this mass of high powered servers to make multiplayer any different to not-multiplayer?
The first question would be How many Train operators Will there be Per route ? My next question would be How many People would be able to spectate as a passenger or Conductor? I honestly Would love to see multiplayer And have been saying so for the past three years , Mind you I think I've Seen all I can see in single player As I now approach Level 1350!!I would welcome A nice new experience Where I could interact with the community And many other train enthusiasts around the world, Further learning And bettering my skills on the railway
Thank you for that information and which routes can be merged using the same train simulator classic method it's that they must share the same geographic coordinate end point and origin. For example server Nordrhein Westfalen can have Rhein Ruhr Osten Ruhr Sieg Nord Bahnstrecke Hagen Finnentrop Siegen merge with each other if the Rbf Hagen Vorhalle was built. The other branch which is towards Bahnstrecke Witten/Dortmund-Oberhausen/Duisburg proper name of Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr linking to the mentioned routes using the same yard Rbf Hagen Vorhalle Bochum Langendreer junction & Witten S-Bahn Rhein Ruhr S5. You can see this in my suggestion on how to merge them.
For the Network Southeast server, we can merge LBN and ECW with SEHS by extending from Eastbourne to Ashford and add Thameslink from East Croydon to St Pancras. We can also merge them with GWE and Bakerloo if we add the North London and West London Lines.
If you are talking about irl, idk. If you are talking about in game, then Matt mentioned in one of livestreams for dcz that one of the differences between dra version of dresden and dcz version is that dresden looks different. And some of the rolling stock.
