So just read the roadmap today and found out that skyhook games has made a route that will be added to tsw3. The route on the road map was given the code GDG R7 which means british diesel electric and diesel hydralic 2011+. So the main purpose of this thread is to speculate away so there are no wrong answers. So have fun speculating.
I'm hoping its a northern route I think it might be because most diesel Hydraulics are currently up north
What I am thinking is my suggestion Calder Valley Line Leeds City via Halifax and Bradford Interchange
I hope it’s one that interlinks to either New Street, Waverley, QS or St Pancras. Be good to see some strategic thinking on routes ti start populating the “world” more.
Nothing out of st pancras cus thatd be elctric too but Maybe mml north Leicester to Sheffield? Including the matlock branch
I'm hoping it'll be a Welsh route. Skyhook is based in Liverpool so they wouldn't need to go very far to get reference photos for the route and/or any trains
A few possibilities for this new route release could be.... Fife Circle Line pre 2020 with Class 68 and 170 traction. Transpennine Express with Class 68 and 185 traction. Severn Valley Railway (or other heritage route) with classic traction such as Class 42 and 50 for example. These possibilities (as well as my earlier Chiltern Railways mention) cover the code details provided such as being set in 2011 or after and featuring both Diesel Electric and Diesel Hydraulic traction.
The North Wales Line 105 mi still loses out to Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg Kassel Würzburg section by 10 miles 16 km.
Do we know when they'll announce what is. I think it could be something around the west of england like a 196 etc.
Since it got added in January of this year, it would probably be like 1-3 months until it's announced and released.
well wasn't Edinburgh to Glasgow added in December last year and got annocenced when they did the roadmap.
I have my fingers crossed for the Fife Circle line. It could help make Edinburgh Waverley more alive also. My dream route !!!.
I hope that it is the North Wales Coast Line (Chester to Holyhead) or at least Wales but I also had a thought earlier in the week about what if it is a heritage railway. It would fit the code with it being modern day with diesels so if it was then it could be set as Diesel Gala just like on WSR.
Personally I think chester to holyhead would be better during the mid 80s however it will be great if added.
Firstly, is Crewe and Holyhead. Secondly, why are you correcting me? I know that it is Crewe to Holyhead
Still hoping to see a Class 70 and Class 55 Deltic. The Deltics could be perfect on a heritage line in the modern day.
this line came out a year ago on TSC https://store.steampowered.com/app/...Wales_Coast_Line_Crewe__Holyhead_Route_AddOn/
Nope I saw it aswell, though I don't remember seeing the HST or 158 mentioned, though I may have just missed it.
OK so I have deleted my posts as dtg are requested that things be kept a surprise for everyone else on Sunday, apologies to dtg and everyone else for spoiling things.
For know lets the spoil it to anyone else still speculating as we might be wrong. Also I don't why a 158 is being introduced in a modern route rather than a 90s one as that just seems weird.
