For some reason, I can't complete the collector scenario at all. I was on my way to the shed, but then have to stop at a red light. The dispatcher, on the other hand, said I can go but the signal say I can't with a red light. I try to see if there was another train ahead of me and there was nothing blocking my path. I believe this is a bug that the team needs to look into. I don't know if others here were able to complete the scenario without any problem.
Here is the photo that shows me stopping by a red signal and dispatcher saying I can move

If the despatcher says you can go, you can pass the red signal.

You can always try using the train stop override for the TPWS and passing the signal and see what that does (as used earlier in the scenario).
However, the dispatcher/signaller is saying proceed as signals indicate and as the signal is red, you cannot pass it. You have to wait for the signal to change to amber/yellow or green before you can pass.

I just completed this on PC with no issues. After you couple to the failed unit and reverse to signal GC5090, did you change the reverser to forwards and proceed back through Cathcart station? It doesn't explicitly instruct you to change direction but the key is in the radio message from the shunter, "The signal ahead is showing a proceed aspect".

Looking at the map should identify the path you have to take as well.

I believe i change the reverser backward because the map was indicating the path was set to the front, in the front of the failed unit, if I go forward it will bring me back to where I started it.

Once you've hooked up to the failed train you go forward (or backward if you changed cab) to a certain signal so you are pushing the failed train. Once at that signal, you then have to go back the way you came. The reason you have to go to the signal is so that you can change tracks and be put back on the correct running direction.

I did this a few weeks ago without issue. If the signaller states proceed as indicated or at restricted speed generally you are good to go. You will only SPAD if he says request denied.

Yes, you reverse the failed unit until the shunter tells you to stop. Then when you go forward you will switch to the other track and proceed back in the direction you came from (clockwise around the circle), through Cathcart station and back towards the single track and depot. Check the map again after you reverse the unit and stop.

Scenario is fine, OP did what I did on my first attempt: tried to push the failed train all the way to the depot.
In fact, as was explained above, after pushing it for a bit (until told to stop), you need to go back the way you came (clockwise) and safely arrive at the depot.
It is not obvious for two reasons: the distance going counter-clockwise is shorter, so going back where you came seems odd, and the messaging is not clear enough to tell you to go back.
