Sorry for starting all these threads… I’m not sure if this is a new “feature” of the console version but it’s the first time I’ve experienced it. I was operating the Class 166 between Reading and Paddington and the warning system (not sure of the exact name) came on which I had to acknowledge every time by pressing the circle button. I’m not complaining, I enjoyed the added realism, I just found it odd that I have never had this happen before. I’ve driven the 166 many times before and never had it, did I click something to enable the process…? What other trains have this and how do I make sure it happens every time, what do I click? Thanks.
You either enabled the DSD or AWS or both. To enable those Safetysystems do the following: Class 43: Class 166: Class 66: The DSD will sound every 30 seconds which you need to acknowledge within short time or else a Emergency Brake will be applied. The AWS will alert you at yellow / red signals and such and needs to get acknowledged aswell before it triggers an Emergency Brake. The Manual for the GWE can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fnSyRr2O8wShKpZ8XN9tDjO7kHik-YNm/view (Its doesnt cover the PS4 Controls, but the rest is the same) A PS4 Manual can be found here if you want to get a look at the Controls: https://storage.googleapis.com/media-dtl-storage/TSW PDFs/TSW PS4 English Digital Manual.pdf (This manual isnt featuring the Trains Startup procedure or how to activate the Safety Systems) Other Trains on other routes feature different Safety Systems aswell which can be activated SiFa / Pzb on RT and RSN Alerter / ATC / ACSES on NEC Alerter / ATC on LIRR
Doubt we'll be seeing that until 3rd party developers can get at editing the HST. A joke considering "it just missed the release of GWR"
