Downloaded Cathcart line from the Xbox store and it downloaded but never showed up in game. I have since uninstalled and am awaiting a refund. All my other DLC was purchased in game and all works flawlessly, the question is, was it an issue as its from Microsoft store or will the same issue persist if I buy it now in game......thanks
When you buy from the store, you need to manually download the DLC to your console. Go to the game options, choose "Manage", then select the game, and it should show the DLC available to install. Check the box next to the new content you want installed, then press on "Save changes" button. Check out the information posted by Princess Entrapta in this thread.
Hi Yardem, thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I have already been through all of that process last night and all of it was to no effect. It is fully downloaded on console, all my dlc have the ticks, Cathcart included, it just doesn't want to show up in game
Yes, was paid for and downloaded from Microsoft Store. Downloaded successfully, all ticks in place, not in game, uninstalled and re installed, ticks in place, not in game. I then uninstalled and requested a refund that was granted. I'm just wondering if it will work if bought directly on the store page in game as I would love to play the route and create some scenarios
I bought from the store, downloaded on XSX for both TSW2 and TSW3, and it works as it should. I'm sorry it doesn't work for you, and I wish I knew how to help further.
If you’ve installed it and it doesn’t show up you’ll have to reinstall the route. I’ve had this before and I had to reinstall one of my routes to get it to show up. (You don’t have to buy it again if you already own it) Then when it’s done you want to launch the route when you get the notification.
Thankyou, unfortunately I had already attempted that twice last night to no avail, hence the refund and wonder as to whether it would be different or the same from the game store
I remember I got this problem when I had both TSW2 and TSW3 installed on the same drive. Moving each of them to a separate physical external drive in the XBox install manager resulted in both of them correctly seeing all their DLC when only one game was present on my system at a time
Thankyou for the reply. As much of a hassle as it sounds, I had even done that, I have a 1Tb Seagate and a second 2Tb(same model) that I had divided them all onto separately but with their according routes etc and still I was not able to get them to appear
I have found that it's best not to purchase or install via the MS Store, but via the MS Xbox app. Sometimes the MS Store fails to transfer the downloaded contents to the app, hence why they don't show up in game. Also running the game via the XBox app seems to help a lot.
OP has detailed that they are installed and visible as such in the content manager, so it's not an issue with them downloading, the game isn't seeing them. Sometimes with this, removing TSW3 itself (but leaving all your DLC installed) and then reinstalling the core game can fix it.
